On console, yeah. Hand cannons are generally more annoying to use on console cause of the recoil. However, hand cannons are still better if you can aim.

The only bad hand cannons are 110s. And hand cannons can also peak shoot, which autos can’t really do effectively.
The only bad hand cannons are 110s. And hand cannons can also peak shoot, which autos can’t really do effectively.
There are plenty of ways to get around peak shooters. Snipers are the most common pairing with autos right now. Hardlight also allows you to shoot around corners. Preshooting corners is also a great way to prevent peak shooting. Autos are better in almost every way in the current sandbox.
-
The only decent autos are 600s. The rest are still forgettable. Don’t make this a D1 situation all over again where a couple of weapons permanently get an entire weapon class trashed.
-
They are if you know how to use them. You can beat an auto anyday if you use em right
They are if you know how to use them. You can beat an auto anyday if you use em right
Autos kill quicker...
-
Slightly quicker, with 100% accuracy. No one is 100% accurate with an auto.
-
Slightly quicker, with 100% accuracy. No one is 100% accurate with an auto.
No is 100% accurate with an handcannon. Miss a shot with a hand cannon and your ttk goes up significantly. With an auto, it barely changes.
-
Yes, but you have to hit far less shots with a hand cannon. 10 or 15 auto shots vs 3 hc shots. Flinch exists, bodyshots exist. Only cheaters are 100% accurate with autos
-
hand cannons are not better than hl or suros.
-
They easily are. Why don't the top players use autos I wonder?
-
Preference probably? Tell me how a hand cannon is better than Hardlight or Suros. Tell me.
-
Peekshooting Less bullets to kill High damage in 1 bullet In air accuracy Aim assist "Accuracy" in general Flinch Handling Hipfire accuracy Still easy to hit past its AA/range bracket Better rolls More accessible Thorn has stupid range and does dot to prevent revives etc Last word still kills very fast Sunshot has explosive rounds
-
Yes they are lmao, maybe on console theyre not but pc for sure.
-
Sorry but HCs DONT have infinite range, fast reload, fast during and high damage while being competitive TTK, very forgiving, ricochet and 2x damage on ricochet, and massive flinch inducing. Ofc that’s just hard light
-
Infinite range=/= infinite accuracy especially on console when shooting over 30 meters is more risky then getting hit with a hand Canon.
-
With a gun that has.... no real recoil / insanely good stability? Shooting long distances is easy. Accuracy and precision is not a problem for hardlight
-
Yes it is if you actually used it outside its range you could tell. It's not that hard to beat, I beat it constantly with Crimison or other 600 autos. Yes HL should be adjusted but autos as a whole don't
-
I dunno, all I see is Spare Rations and mind benders, the only hardlights i see is rare. And I've been playing crucible on the daily
-
Try using it against an purple that can map at 51 meters.
-
I mean, they have more recoil, less range, a slower TTK, and are far less forgiving than autos once you start experiencing damage falloff. They're not bad, but they certainly aren't in their proper place if autos are gonna be as good as they are.
-
Hand cannons only have a slower ttk at face value. No one hits 100% of their auto shots. Just landing a few bodyshots makes a HC better. HCs also have the peek-shooting advantage, and the bodyshot damage advantage. Them being single shot is just so valuable. A good auto user is likely a good hc user, and you can do much better plays with hand cannons. Try shooting people from the air with an auto rifle, for example.

Editado por Wes: 4/10/2020 2:22:24 AMJust landing a single body shot with a hand cannon makes it even worse. Pretty much gotta disengage and hope the Hard Light rochochet rounds don't catch you at that point. Hand cannons are more usable in the air, but their in-air accuracy suffers just as much as an auto's, unless you're using a precision frame. And yeah, hand cannons can peak fire, but Hard Light can ricochet rounds. Those rounds hit VERY often if you just hold the trigger down. Also, at a 0.7s TTK, a 600 RPM auto will out-damage a hand cannon user during their peak if their peek is 0.2 seconds (time for 3 shots to land) or longer. Being faster than that on console is a tall order, considering the movement and aiming sensitivty limitations. I'm not saying it's impossible, but that vast majority of players wont be able to do that consistently, making autos more lethal, easier to use, and consistent for everyone.

It's been a while since I played console, but I didn't have much trouble hitting 3 taps with HCs. HCs also flinch autos to the sky. And about the in air accuracy bit: Hand cannons need 3 shots to kill, autos need, what, 15? So the hand cannon will be much more accurate. I don't have trouble fighting autos on PC, unless it is a hardlight where I either got hit by the bs ricochet (which shouldn't be double damage- too luck based), or they outplayed me. If you have high mobility then the peekshooting works all the time. Also, I'm not sure if this is on console too, but there is this weird damage bug going around with hand cannons that make them one shot people haha.

Editado por Wes: 4/10/2020 2:52:01 AMI have 100 mobility, so I can strafe very fast. But if the auto user is strafing while I'm peek shotting, odds are I'll end up trading with him or dying, simply because I'll have to take the time to adjust my shot with limited sensitivity during a peak and he can hold the trigger down. The moment that happens, I have to disengage. Now for your average player? Auto is gonna win 9 times outta 10 at least. If it's Hard Light, I just don't challenge unless I got the first shot. Ricochet rounds can destroy peek shooting. And yeah. Hand cannons are still the better choice in air, no doubt. But you can't challenge an auto user whose feet is on the ground. You'll get melted. The in air shooting is better for finishing someone who is weak for sure. Hand cannons are better at that. And unfortunately, no. There's no glitch like that.
