I mean, yeah, I'm sure Destiny 2 will still be a fun game if this change occurs. However, it will also be a game with a diminished capacity for emotional investment, and in my opinion that makes it less fun. Not no fun at all, just less... and that just means that, while the change remains in effect, I would likely choose to play other games that exceed that level of fun, for me. Clearly many people feel the same, though not everyone.
