Perhaps its just my gaming experience but I wanted to ask the community anyways: are SMGs lackluster in the Crucible? It seems like the TTK isn't All That and even if you got close enough to overcome the limited range you're a prime target for a shotgun. Too far out and just about anything can kill you like a 540 pulse or a fusion rifle. So what is it that makes SMGs less than desirable? Or am I just looking at this all wrong and I need to grease my gears?
