Seriously, Bungie, I don't know what it is with you guys. You seem to not know how to balance out your buffs and nerfs. You either do nothing but buffs which power creeps the hell out of the game, then you realize "Everything is too strong", but then you don't know when to stop nerfing until it's too late.
Wanna know what these patch notes should've had? More buffs. Here's some examples that would actually help things out in the long run. LoW and TLW changes are fair enough, though I would say 38/38 for TLW's non-precision hits is too low, and about a 43/43 would be a good number. Pretty much everything else other than Auto buffs, I disagree with.
Izanagi's Burden:
-Honed Edge reload is unaffected by reload bonuses
-Reload speed increased to compensate
-Outlaw replaced with No Distractions
Sleeper Simulant:
-Magazine size increased from 4 to 6
-Moving Target replaced with Box Breathing
Deathbringer:
-Projectiles will seek targets more consistently and have a slightly faster travel speed
-Fixed issue where projectiles would disappear at random
The Prospector:
-Full Rework of it's Exotic perk
-Grenades will now stick to enemies and surfaces when holding down the trigger
-Stacking grenades will increase the damage of the grenades.(Up to 2x damage, maximum of all 8 grenades)
-Damage increase also applies to the burn damage.
Legend of Acrius:
-Increased effective range of the Arc Blast
-Long March replaced with Surrounded
One Thousand Voices:
-Ammo in magazine increased from 4 to 6
-Charge time reduced from 1000 to 900
Xenophage:
-Reload speed drastically increased(from ~5 seconds down to ~2.5 seconds)
D.A.R.C.I.:
-Personal Assistant now also provides Triple Tap
Leviathan's Breath:
-Draw speed lowered from 1328 down to 1000
-Max ammo increased from 10 to 15
The Queenbreaker:
-Moved from Power slot to the Energy slot
-Damage numbers adjusted to compensate
Merciless:
-Impetus's effect now increases damage of the weapon the higher you've ramped up Conserve Momentum
Trace Rifles in general:
-Increased PvE damage to help them compete with other special weapons
Tarrabah:
-Perk progress for Ravenous Beast no longer resets after stowing the weapon
-Ravenous Beast charges up slightly faster
Outbreak Perfected:
-Outlaw replaced with Rapid Hit
Rat King:
-Rat Pack's AoE is now larger
There's probably way more that could be adjusted, but for once, I think the patch notes are headed in a very negative direction.

Long March on Legend of Acrius was lowkey my little strat to find enemies in PvP before head-on encounter, plus the exotic itself is like a budget Lament... Although bungo should've made the catalyst easier to drop or make acquiring the catalyst possible soon.

1K percent!!! These jackasses never seem to listen to the community but every twab leading into a new season “your voices have been heard”.... eat glass whoever comes up with these nerfing ideas. Punishing players by destroying weapons and now even weapon archetypes that we like and actually do work is not the way to do things. Many of us have jobs and families we can’t spend hours on hours grinding for bullshit. They even got rid of pinnacle weapons, now they’re beefing anything based on its usage not if it’s breaking the game. If they read this listen for once.
-
For 1K I’d just like to see a damage increase, or maybe consecutive shots increase damage. Couldn’t care less bout the mag size or the charge time.
-
They are basically arbitrarily trying to make the game more challenging by going around the easy way and just nerf everything we’ve worked hard on. They should instead focus on making the game more challenging by adding more challenging encounters in the game, besides the same old stomp mechanics we’ve had since D1. Bottom line is, Bungie’s devs are out of touch and they aren’t focusing on making mechanics that are challenging but going around that entirely.
-
Here we have a bunch of great ideas to at least consider, nearly a 4-5 day old post with almost 500 upvotes, and still no comment from Bungie. I realize they can't comment on all posts but this speaks volumes as to which posts they DO comment on.
-
That is far too much work. It's simply easier to nerf a few things. I'm not condoning this, just pointing out how Bungie thinks.
-
Man look at all this community engagement Bungie is doing
-
Our light gets stronger but somehow we get weaker

I think surrounded on Acrius is a bit too much. It already chunks health. Instead replace it with threat detector
-
Really like triple tap on darci

I feel like this is a "I want to melt bosses faster to the point where there is no challenge" post. I remember in D1, 1 cycling a boss actually meant something. Not alot of people can do it. It took alot of setup and usually everything has to go perfect for your team to pull it off. Now we are just lazy smh Usually any team can bring in the required weapons of a KWTD post and 1 cycle a boss with someone lying about knowing what to do. There are a few exceptions of course. But vertially any strike boss in D2 can get 1 phased. -
Outbreak Perfected doesn’t need to be touched - Rapid hit would turn the gun into a laser at any range which in time would see it nerfed. A good buff would be changing Box breathing back to three shots but reducing the damage bonus to about 15% - right now any weapon with Box breathing is useless for boss damage because damage phases end before you can proc the perk more than twice.

Editado por statetroopr25: 2/24/2020 1:16:38 AMSome of these probably won't work well, but this guy freaking gets it. Bungie, please take notes because your adjustments should look more like this
-
Neat ideas, but some of these are busted or outright unnecessary. For example, outbreak doesn't need rapid hit because it intrinsically has persistence. Surrounded on acrius is.....dear lord man. Increased damage on prospector like that would just cause a prospector meta.

Editado por ABackSeatDriver: 2/23/2020 5:42:22 AMFor pve there shouldn't be anything other than buffs and exotic reworks. If there's some game breaking bug or exploit then, yes, fix it but otherwise don't nerf. For pvp I think bungie really should up the damage for all primary weapons to make them a little more forgiving and more capable to handle special weapons rather than nerfing special weapons. The reason why special weapons are so heavily used right now is because they're so easy to use. Nearly all primary weapons require the player to be a top marksman to get the optimal ttk for that weapon while specials are simply just point and shoot. Buffing primary damage would help to give players a sporting chance against the apes, voopers, and snipers. Just my two cents about it.
-
They don't know how to buff m8,only nerf 😩
-
Naaawwww that would make sense
-
I got a new exotic chest piece for my Titan the other day, literally don’t even remember the name of it, but it was the worst thing I think I’ve ever used. Supposed to cause “explosion” on finisher. Couldn’t see it doing a thing, cause of all the finished animation, and dang sure didn’t see anyone around get damaged. An absolute shame cause it actually looks awesome.
-
I agree with your post 100%. But we’ve had underwhelming exotic armor since d2 launched and Bungie hasn’t touched those. At some point you have to realize that this game...it’s never going to be what you hope it will be.
-
I’ve brought up this thought a few times. I’m always met with something along the lines of making the game too easy.
-
That'd make too much sense. The streamers wouldn't like it, the PvP crowd would still whine, the PC players would still rage...all because they made sensible weapon changes for PvE Inb4: Grenade Launchers and snipers...that shit doesn't make sense at all and this list points out the ridiculousness of the PvE centered nerfs
-
Hurr durr power creep, derr you don't know what you're talking about. Power creep was addressed last season, now it's going to be used as an excuse by a minority who think only nerfing is fine until we're at a point where going back to coldheart for damage is the state of PvE. Master level content pretty much requires divinity and 2 Izanagi's, it doesn't entirely require it but that's the best loadout to run. Bungie are throwing this away by undoing a buff and replacing it with what? Sword rework that won't do anything useful unless you can block the ridiculous boss stomp mechanics that insta kill you by slamming you into walls/off cliffs or just sheer OP damage?
-
Bungie logic is weaker items get a buff when they Nerf the stronger items.
-
A couple extra things i feel need to be buffed Deathbringer this is more of an added buff but make it deal 33% more damage Izanagis Burden: dont make its reload speed stay the same just change the outlaw perk i would much prefer that Worldline Zero: this was only used in speedruns now that there fixing that aspect make the tesseract perk deal 100% more damage. Truth: Make its tracking like in d1
-
Then things would be fun and people would come back to play. They don’t seem to want that.
