Shotgun Rework Idea
Everyone is running around with shotguns in PVP. You know why? I'm not going to say it, you can figure it out yourself.
What's my proposed solution?
I think that Bungie should nerf shotgun body shot damage, increase shotgun crit damage, and increase shotgun range to compensate and reduce shotgun pellet spread. That way, shotguns can two-shot kill from greater distances, one shot head shot kill from greater distances, and can only one shot kill with headshots. They'd be on par with snipers in terms of skill required to kill, they wouldn't be annoying as **** one shot body shot no-skill weapons, and they would no longer be essential to the pvp meta. Still usable, just take more skill. What do you guys think?

1 ResponderOmg the fact that we’re having this conversation tells me you know nothing about pvp. Spread shotguns are probably the least broken weapon in the game right now. You wanna talk about reworking weapon damage? How about erentil.

No. Movement and handling should be greatly reduced when using a special weapon, and special ammo reduced in pvp.

3 RespostasYour plan would only work for slug shotguns (which already work that way). Most shotguns in games are like real life and shoot out loads of small shot in a spread pattern. Your real problem is not the weapon but how you play against players who use shotguns. THINK. What are the shotgun's strengths and how not to play into them. What are the shotgun's weaknesses and how to use them. Keep your distance. Do not run at someone. If someone runs at you back off or disengage to fight when you do have distance. Stay out of CQB areas or places where people are camping. Bait them out. Adapt...…. Improvise........ Overcome.
