1) You actually start in the tower and it loads you into the end area (I'd make Final Assault a 950 activity) only the 3 boss fight areas have Spires you need to calibrate
For the calibration for every enemy that sacrifices, your set back 2%.
All class of Champions could appear during this and inside the forest.
2) Once all 3 spires have been calibrated the giant portal opens as normal, only you go through it and end up.... In the Infinite forest where Osiris and Sagira are waiting for you to tell you the Undying mind is attempting to use the forest.
3) Fight your way to the past where you then enter the black garden and the background could be the Pyramid ships. Destroy the Undying mind in the past. This past version can also summon nightmares of your past to.
Mechaniclly nothing would change until you fight the future Undying Mind
4) At 10% of the Undying Mind, you could say it's attempting to escape this timeline and you could have Osiris show up and help prevent.
5) Rinse and Repeat for the Present version.
6) Once you get to the Future the Undying Mind has a few new tricks up it's sleeve.
6.A) In order to drop it's shield you have to use the void crystal to shoot at towers to power up a arc charge, once a arc charge is powered, bring it to the relays surrounding the boss once all 6 relays have been activated form a hexagon around the boss to begin DPS.
6.B) Every _____ seconds oracles could be summonded like the VoG oracles.
Kill the Undying Mind in all 3 times to be brought back to where you first started the Final Assault and collect your loot and earn your 1 of 3 kills for the trumiph.
Rewards:
Base Emblem (Special Emblem for a flawless run and another version if no one dies)
Chance at Enhancement Cores, Shards and the other Exotic thing for masterworking armor
Weapons and Armor
Sorry if this seems hard to follow or a poor choice of wording, normally I'd take my time to flush out the details, but felt I had to post this now.

My fix turn off game. Go get some fresh air. Maybe a little sun.

I think you spent more time typing your message than the thought bungie put into this lame finale. Bottom line it’s the end of the season and if anything will let players know what to expect in the seasons to come and whether or not to pay for DLC

Some really good ideas. Personally I think that what you've suggested here would maybe be bordering on too much. Nevertheless, brilliant ideas.

All good ideas, though anything would have been better than what we got. For a great, fun to play activity, it has almost no replay ability which is sad.
