Adding Linux/macOS players

For the most part, a lot of people play on Windows and I get that. I'm glad you're using something that works for you. I've just switched to Ubuntu 19.04 over some recent developer changes to Windows which has resulted in most of my Windows builds to remain unstable and/or a real pain to use. If anything, could September open up the possibility of Destiny 2 coming to Linux/Mac as this would also open a user-base if Bungie intends to stick with switching to Steam. I get that Battle.net may have had some restrictions on content that was to be posted (it only officially supports Windows), but Steam supports Linux and Mac. I'm personally only asking for Linux, but for the most part Mac would likely work with a few minor changes as well, which could open up an entirely different player-base and increase revenue too.. TL;DR: It's just a thought, but can we actually support Linux and/or Mac with the September release or shortly thereafter now that Destiny is moving to Steam?

 • Instead of disagreeing right away with you, because I'm not as informed as I could be on the matter, here's some of my opinions/thoughts that you're free to debunk if I'm ill informed. Mac, I definitely think/hear is overall garbage for gaming, as well as being overpriced. (not shitting on Pro Mac users, my cousin is getting an Art Degree and their Mac is crucial for them) I feel like if you buy a Mac it isn't for videogames, so I don't think that the market is even remotely there. Linux, I don't know about the market, although I would assume comparatively to Windows it's small. As someone else said though I do see it being an absolutely nightmare for anti-cheat. Would have to separate Linux players and Windows players IMO. But the important part is the amount of effort Bungie would make, making it compatible with Linux, compared to the profit. As a newly independent company I don't necessarily see it being worth their time compared to everything else they have on their plate. I would be super willing to see if I can help you get Windows working better on your PC, it truly does suck this has happened and I'm all for Guardians being able to be Guardians and play the game, in a perfect world this wouldn't be a problem.
