I just bank after every wave of ads, unless i get less than 5, but id rather play it safe, when prim comes my 2 team mates burn wizards with ikelos while i kill small ads (my loadout is to kill enemies for motes and invaders so not to hot on dps weapon wise) we wait for the invader, kill him, then my boy throws melting point, pops his super, our hunter shoots a shadowshot at the same time and shoots rockets and i go ham with thors hammer!! By the time my super runs out he is dead, if we had a 4th it would be easier too lol

This is what I do I like to hang a bit back and clean up motes while laying down mobs for gatherers so I can comfortably handle blockers. I use a queensbreaker for invaders and invading. Arc staff for invasions is great but shit for primeval so I'll change to barrage or goldy depending on my focus.

This is pretty much the best strategy I've found for gathering motes when playing solo. Just keep depositing 5 motes over and over so you never have many to lose, and that leaves you open to hunt the invader when he comes in, as well as clear blockers by making frequent trips to the bank. If I see teammates trying for 10+ motes I just try to keep the field clear of blockers and invaders so the dummies don't lose everything they're collecting.
