  • Actually pretty good. But please leave the "new" gametypes available. I mean what reason is there to remove mayhem and 2v2? That's literally the only fun game types you have and you keep removing them. hnng

  • D1 crucible killed D2! Everything is about 2v2 or 4v4 or op weapons, ttk, most gripes are about weapons and the crucible which these days go hand in hand! This event seems like just another step to phasing out pve completely. If you put half the effort into pve as you do PVP you would have a lot more players. PVP is mostly something to play when content is getting dry! Not the other way around! Weapons, loadouts, skill tree all of it sucks in pve because it doesn't work in pvp. Seems like all special events are designed around PVP, WHY!!???? Why not create some poles and put them in this community? No more analysing and guessing, you get it straight and simple from the horses mouth! Then you know what players want most and what you need to do first!! I know you can't do everything we want but this game is going to die if you don't do something quick!

    In my opinion, I actually enjoyed this current Crimson Days. It addressed some of the Eververse issues by implementing the rewards into the game and adding engrams to each level up. However, in terms of the playlist, I feel that the ability buff (especially grenades) could be dialed down. It's very easy to control zones and the heavy by simply throwing a grenade. And, of course, there's still the other Crucible issues such as high time to kill rates, mobility, and such. Also, it is a shame that there's a limited amount of game modes that suppress the full potential of the Crucible, please keep the reintroduced or new game modes into the game. Guessing what game mode it gets really boring and possibly frustrating. But overall, I would give Crimson Days from a grade range of a B- to A-, in comparison to D1 content and other live events.

    Crimson doubles feels GOOD for warlocks and titans since the can compete with hunter madness and there invis that breaks aim assist My grenades and melee recharge rate is great and what my warlock and Titan needed to stop hunters , granted it charges fast

  • I am an average player at best and have run crimson almost entirely with randoms this week, and I have to say this has been the most satisfying pvp play in D2 since launch. It is very fast paced, the ability charge rate means I feel “powerful “ again - unlike regular D2 pvp- knowing to stay together means for the most part you can play a relativley sound strategy with another blueberry without communication. I have played pretty much nothing but this week. I hope this stays as regular pvp option and would love to see what it might be like with 2x2x2 or 2x2x2x2 ? Is that’s possible?

  • I liked Crimson Days in D1, and it's much better in D2. Grenade spam is maybe an issue but honestly I'm having too much fun to worry about that. That was honestly a surprise for me because I didn't even make it through the CoO on my third character, so it was nice to enjoy this game again. I'm looking forward to other changes you guys are going to implement, but I'm probably not gonna log back in until the next major update.

  • I like the faster grenades. Yes we get killed by them more often but I'm not 1 to bitch about stuff like that. As a fan of mayhem, more abilities is always more fun.

    • Really liked feeling powerful again with the increased charge rates. Hunters seem to have a bit of an invisibility advantage but eh... Overall I like it. It's nice and fast paced.

Thanks![/quote] I hope to see Crimson doubles come back, but as a standard doubles event. Doesnt have to necessarly be valentines related, but just hey, here doubles back with the "teammate" buff. One suggestion i have to the game mode would be to not promote standing on top of your teammate. The Burnout for example shows the biggest issue of this buff, as people are camping middle (B Flag) just throwing endless grenades. If possible, shorten the buff provided while standing with a teammate. (One Example): Standing next to a teammate provides "brothers in arms" where for 10-15 seconds you have the added ability recharge we recieve now. The difference though is this frees up players to move away from their teammate without taking a massive handicap on abilities, and still promote them to meet up on cleanup to recieve this buff again. If this event returns as a doubles event, i would also like the Ping/Map callout when teammates seperate to be removed along with the broken heart buff to go. When a player leaves this is horrible for the remaining as they are always pinged on the map and have no way to fight back. It would be interesting and very different to see this event operate as a doubles event, with the "brothers in arms" buff i mentioned above. Together this would have awesome synergy, to have mayhem, 2v2 doubles, 6v6 Iron Banner, 4v4 Comp/QP, and maybe 3v3 Trials to final create some different playlists that add to PvP Replayablity. Now, i will note as well it would be nice to see PvE events such as Queens Wrath From OG d1 days return. The PvE in this game is awesome and could use something rewarding for those players to chase. (Side Note): Please double check the scaling when bringing back d1 maps into d2. I felt Burning Shrine's original size was great, and would be even better if the outside was cut like it is now. Just with outside being cut, and it being scaled down it feels awkwardly small. I understand if this was to target 2v2/4v4, but even in doubles it feels insanely fast to get from A/C caps to middle bridge. Seems like a map that was good for 6v6 will hurt when we see 6v6 return. Shores feels awesome scaled down, but Shrine just feels awkward. If maps like Cauldron/Widows Court/etc are on the upcoming block please keep their existing size if possible. Itll show even more with the speed of the game increase that is inbound.

    • I think it was good and fun as well as not having the crimson packages locked behind the paywalls. Also, I feel like I’m drowning in crimson engrams, which means I can get all the loot I want, by putting in time, and not paying for it. This is really good bungie, keep it up!

    • I really like how much faster I move in Doubles (when the perks are active), made me realize just how slowly we move normally. The Burnout is a fantastic map and probably my favourite of them all, though we'll see how it is in 4v4/6v6. Playing Doubles also made me realize that I would [i]love[/i] if Bright Engrams had a low chance to drop from any activity (and higher for more difficulty activities like Nightfall, Trials, Raids, etc.). Playing a match and getting gifted a Crimson Engram was a fantastic feeling, I really hope that can replicated to some degree in the base game itself.

    • The overall pace was really nice. The fast charging abilities and whatnot. But the maps were way too big for only 4 players IMO. By the time you and your partner had reunited, the opposing team would have been informed about your team's positions and approaches, allowing them to start countermeasures. In particular if joined with the next point: Communication greatly tilts a match's favor towards those who can talk. To the point where it's frustratingly pointless to allow matchmaking in the first place. I think power ammo should have been disabled, getting that first gives a noteable advantage towards the other team. In particular the Colony is an immense threat when used against small teams.

    • Prior to Destiny the benchmark for coop and team play was 4 player. Split-screen or networked it was a measure found in pretty much any game that offered multiplayer as an option. When Destiny came along it changed that dynamic to a fireteam of three. This has meant over the course of this game people I have regularly played with, and sometimes against, have had our hands forced to make teams. Who gets to play today and who doesn’t? The introduction of crimson days reduces the player option again. So this time I just walked away and let others enjoy the team up instead of having to choose who gets to play today. The offer of zero fun has been met with zero play time. Sorry guys but this one missed the mark with this player.

It's fun otherwise but people spamming the skip grenades is super frustrating. But i love the doubles playlist. I'm not in it for the rewards. I really like the play style

    • CD is fun! The good: move speed increased, increased recharge rates, 2vs2 gameplay is fast and tense and should force players to work together, team shooting easier to counter since only 2 players - you can make good plays and survive. The bad: heavy ammo... having one fixed spawn point for heavy dictates how the game will be played. The first minute is all about getting that heavy. Suggestion: Could you set up the heavy to spawn at random locations - and take away the timer showing it has spawned? That way players would have to run around and look for it and not run straight to the heavy at the beginning of a round. Different PvP play modes are fun - do this for IB and faction rally as well. Faction Rally mode suggestion: faction vs faction pvp. Would be awesome to be in a group of NM warriors squaring off against DO in full armor and weapons!

    • Cozmo - Thanks for asking for feedback on the event. I only got to play 5-6 matches, but the experience was a blast! Thanks! The anti-duplicate reward system is a HUGE step-up, and certainly makes better use of player time - big thumbs up for this. I enjoyed the grenade spam elements as a nice change of pace. Certainly makes the battles play out differently as the game becomes a fight over the heavy (or denying the heavy), but the abilities are buffed such that winning those 1v2s that everybody has been clamoring for is very possible. Overall - I give the event an A-. Very enjoyable, limited time event. Well done.

    • My wife and I love the 2v2 play style. Good team work and go for the win. No salt here on crimson doubles

    • 2v2 is about as much fun as sticking your head in a blender..its just aggravating none stop sweat fest grenade spam drives you crazy after a wile. the game type just promotes camping & team shooting not skilled plays! the PVE side of things is great but once again you missed the mark with pvp

    • It's kind of a boring mess of grenades and camping. The rewards are pretty lame, and the shader system is still completely broken and predatory.

    • This event MAGNIFIES all of D2's current problems... -Team Shooting meta -Sub par Flanking -Sub par Loot -No Progression system -Sub par game type, unclear rules, lacking creativity....etc. -Grenade spamming, skip nades are annoying and are everywhere -Still don't Feel powerful, Classes have no counter and Hunter is just way too nurfed -Extended TTK due to overshields Not Fun.

    • I don't generally play pvp, but I gave it a shot. I had a lot of fun. I was able to eek out a few quick double kills solo, which felt good. I say bring it back again in a little while, maybe with a different power ammo mechanic.

Thanks![/quote] Honestly I have no idea what you guys were thinking you know not for nothing bungee what the f*** happened to you halo was a great series and then all of a sudden you guys come out with Destiny and Destiny 2 which by the way Destiny 2 is essentially just Destiny 1.5 and the DLC for this Destiny 1.6 you know there's no individuality anymore to the customisation of your character so if you're in nightstalker you choose this path or this path if you're Golden Gun choose this path or this path no getting to choose anymore on your own subclass even like at least in the first one you let us choose throughout the whole selection and mismatch everything that we wanted to do now you guys took our choices and said f*** you consumers we want your money and we don't give a s*** about you thanks for shiting on your customers and I mean I also see a lot of people complaining about the hunters going nightStalker and and throwing their skip grenades in the visibility how about y'all's f****** titan slam that you can bash the floor f****** 30 times but that's okay because you must mean a Titan if you complain about the hunter or warlock if you're complaining about the Titan or the Warlock you must play a hunter and apparently if you complain about the Titan in Hunter you must be a warlock well at least we didn't b**** and moan that much once you took away the f****** bubble of light even though the bubble was Prime for the Titan with weapons of light and the self res that you took away from the f****** warlock which is a slap to the face because that was the main point in Destiny one for coming in clutch during raids and things where it would cause the 3 second countdown timer but hey apparently a f****** flaming sword is better than resurrecting yourself when you die when you're in the darkness Zone you took away the random roles so now there's no real rewards to winning anything getting anything done because if I have this gun everybody else that has the same damn gun as me has the exact same f****** roll what happened to you what happened to you people maybe you should spend a little bit less time designing Destiny 3 which we know you already working on and focusing on your f****** customers first

      • Not that you care or test the game but it'd terrible. I only see fireteams of 2 against me and another random. I only see people spamming skip grenades and jumping around. I only see antiope-D and auto rifles. I only see what I saw the last 8 months. Bungie being invaluable of making a fun game. [spoiler]please don't make destiny 3[/spoiler]
