  • 2v2 is fun... But you should sepperate the fireteams and solo players Its the same problem with the rest of the crucible but worse, solo players get destroyed by teamshot

  • How about we get some PvE events instead of just sticking us with PvP. Not everyone wants to be forced to play PvP for these events.

    • So you guys made it so the exotic sparrow breaks down into legendary marks now. This is an outrageous lie. You said all items break down into dust. I’m so sick of the lies. Over and over and over and over again. Bungie I’m doneeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • The game mode itself is enjoyable, as the mechanics are casual enough for anyone to play, but do involve utilizing a strategy of knowing when to push and when to retreat (due to the round scoring). I would make 2 minor changes to the game mode itself: (1) remove power ammo all together, or just make it a match-point type of deal, and (2) change the tiebreaker to sudden death (I.E. no respawns) in all instances not just a 2 round tie-breaker. Fighting over the power ammo spawn is unnecessary, as the points and time already pressure the players into combat. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Nightstalkers are extremely problematic in this game mode. A team of 2 have access to 4 grenades, and with the increased recharge rate, can just spam them nearly indefinitely. Along with the invisibility, they are pretty obviously at an advantage here. To be honest though, I don't know what the fix is, but I caution against any NERFs to the subclass.

    • Its tedious. This event needed limited time weapons added to the loot pools. Matchmaking seems kocked up. Either I get a decent teammate and we rofl stomp or I have to carry a player who doesn't know how to hold a controller. You shouldn't have released this event without a balance change. It needed to happen. Nightstalker hunters are all over the place just ruining any kind of "fun" this game mode could have, only 2 weapons everywhere I see with rockets all over the place. Its just dull, the game mode has so much potential, but the balance changes needed to be paired with it.

        increase grenade recharge times. disable radar completely. move heavy spawn points.

        • Why are you still pushing pvp events? The pvp in D2 is deeply unpopular.... Try some pve events, and not this half assed faction war.... While you're at it, add the perk node you removed from all legendary weapons back, bring back all the perks you simply removed from the game, and randomise everything. Then at least the game will have a loot system again....

        • If you could get rid of all the cheating that goes on in PVP the game would be a much better place. The game is been like this since destiny one so I don't hold out for a resolution anytime soon. I think the top 2 cheats in PVP are, lag switch and some kind of aim assist hack or mod controller. games need to be monitored

        • Indeed 2v2 PVP is much more fun than 4v4. At least for some time. I think this shows that having more variety makes the game more fun. So let the new playlists keep rolling in. One observation though. The lack of dedicated servers is more obvious than ever. I wish Bungie would let gamers choose the system. If it is a cost issue, why dont you organise a crowd financing amongs console players and ask 5 dollars for 1 year of dedicated servers and if you get 1 million players to commit, then you would deliver it. At least I would be ready invest 5 dollars to make it happen, I have now waited so many years for it.

          With all the complaints you're receiving it stuns me you still can't get this right. As a single player I have been matchmaker consistently against teams of 2. Seeing as I'm matchmade with another single player that must mean there are quite a fee of us. So why are we paired against teams so often? Secondly, you have to start ranking your matchmaking. Setting me up against people who constantly go flawless at trials is pointless for everyone involved. Thirdly, today I played a game that I was practically humping my partner and grenades did not recharge. I'm sure this is an actual glitch cos I've not noticed it the last couple of days. This is so frustrating when titans are tossing pulse grenade after pulse grenade and I as a hunter can't use anything. Remove you pathetic damage referee clause. It's not our fault your matchmaking is do bad. I'm sick at firing blanks. Finally stop sending me into games in progress. I spawn in get killed and can't revive. I get a waiting for ally to revive me message for the entire round.

          Ok, here is my initial feedback on Crimson Days after playing on 2 of my characters enough to complete the milestones. [b]Likes[/b] - The Burnout map, nice to see a good D1 map come back. The visual changes give it a different feel than what it was in D1. It also brings in a bit of nostalgia. - Crimson Days engrams seem to be reasonable to get and have a decent drop rate at the end of a match although I have read that others did not have the same experience. - Engram items dismantle into bright dust, so this is a great way to build up your stash to get the things you really want. - The 2v2 mode and the mechanics of it are great and fun to play when matchmaking is not grossly unbalanced. - The recharge rates are nice. getting multiple supers is nice. The grenade spam gets a bit old. - Getting the 2 engrams on level up. - Short matches with the quick recharge rates keeps the pace feeling good. - Overall, its fun even playing solo as long as you are playing with someone who knows how to play the game mode. [b]Dislikes[/b] - This isn't really specific to Crimson Days, but matchmaking is still not that great. There is no reason you should ever get paired up against a team that is so much better that your entire team gets 0 kills. Yeah, you can say "git gud" all you want, but at the end of the day not everyone is capable of being a top tier player. - There are no rewards that I want to chase or keep. Ghosts with some unique perks would have been cool. An armor set would have been nice, but with limited vault space I wouldn't really be able to hang onto it anyway. This isn't a total loss for me since the items are a nice source of bright dust. - Would have been nice if there was some mechanic that could have been implemented across the PvE side. I have no ideas on what it would be, but the snowballs from the Dawning were fun. - Only 1 power ammo spawn location. This basically just makes people camp the spawn point, the rest of the map is pointless. Maybe keep the multiple spawn points like normal but randomize which one ammo spawns at. This would keep people moving around the map. - The beacon on you if your teammate leaves the match. This just hoses you if your partner leaves you hanging.

        • Really enjoyed it. It's the first time since launch that I've enjoyed PvP. Please do not drop it after this week. Make it monthly or something. Call it anything you like but please don't drop it.

        • I really rather enjoy switching and playing between my warlock and my titan- warlock is plenty versatile with my healing rift or empowering rift to team up and hold the cap point or recover from the onslaught of teamfire while Titan pulse grenades are great for straight DPS or zone control to herd them where you want. It's a great change, manages to stay fast and dynamic. I enjoy this playlist, especially with the buffs given when close to each other. Makes for super fun and fast gameplay that I really enjoyed.

          • Played roughly 10 games today, I haven’t received 1 crimson engram. That’s a very poor drop rate.

          • Crimson doubles is easily my most favorite variation of crucible, as the matches generally feel a lot tighter and I’ve had some solid comebacks. The reward system in general is better, with the duplicate protection, event engrams as random drops in crucible and event and illuminated ones for level up all being solid steps in the right direction. I would like to see more weapon ornaments, and having armor sets for events like this, as recolors of ghosts, sparrows and ships is about as exciting as a stale piece of bread though the exotic sparrow isn’t bad with the rose petals. I want any good excuse to play this game, and see no reason why good additions like 2v2 can’t stay past the event as an alternative option but more than anything your game desperately needs enjoyable and good rewards to chase. 500+ crucible tokens that reward very similar weapons and armor to other stuff in the game is not fun. The game needs meaningful changes to weapons and armor in addition to more and better rewards in various activities to grind, perhaps the new mod system in May will help. A bit off topic but on the same general idea, the raid and strike changes sound interesting but again please add more and better rewards to chase for otherwise any players you get back in May won’t stick around. I’m aware of the emblems, and halos, those aren’t exciting, people want cool weapons and armor, or unique ghosts like the raid one.

          • I really enjoy Crimson Doubles (the recharge rate is probably a bit too fast) Please add it to a playlist like you intend to do with mayhem.

          • I think aside from the grenade spam it's a really fun mode! I would like to see a permanent 2v2 playlist put in the game without the crimson days buff.

          • This game has incredibly tight gameplay hidden behind things that ruin that experience. 2v2 is a GREAT idea, however amping up nades and powers ruined it for myself and many others. The game at it's core has gunplay that could potentially reward actual skill, but instead we have aim assist and bullet magnetism (talking about pc) that are being exploited, things like swords and Acrius that don't match the game's time to kill. Now you added increased grenade/power/super into the mix, further pushing away players who've appreciated your unparalleled fps gameplay since the Halo days. "Power Fantasy" can be achieved by learning to play good, not by having an instant win button. So to answer your question, Crimson Days is a great addition to the game however the actual 2v2 is a nade spamming powerfest that just isn't fun to anyone who's looking to be rewarded by sheer skill instead of being "assisted" by supers and Skip Grenades.

            Eh can y'all try to set up a detection system for modded controllers shooting full auto with enhanced speed towards rpm (full auto 360rpm mida is irritating af) and other thing is when is the CoO crucible playlist going to be removed because they are diluting the small playerbase even more... [spoiler]Any roadmaps for playable PvE content or incentivised grinding?[/spoiler]

          • This is not what this game needs,more pvp oriented stuff. Events should be mainly focussed on new PVE story and lore with PVP as a side dish. That would keep the game fresh and immersive imo. I find events as they are rather boring tbh,there is no lore or story to them whatsoever,shame realy to let us play the same stuff over and over and...well you get the point.
