I quit destiny after con of Osiris. This just makes me never want to come back. Any game that you pay 60 bucks for should not have items that are attainable only through loot box finger crossing. If they had just allowed bright engrams to pull from the dawning loot table people wouldn't be rioting. If they wanted to pull this crap then they shouldn't have priced the game at 60 bucks.

  • This is my reaction to the #RemoveEververse movement ... Jokes aside, I agree with you 100%. I too quit Destiny 2 after CoO.. but what really ticked me out which was the tipping point also, was the preying scheme behind The Dawning .. a few snowballs wont cover the fact a new preying layer of gambling has been added

  • Exactly. I'm going to start a new post here shortly about everyone who keeps saying it's just cosmetic items and that we are acting entitled. We would be acting entitled if the only way to get cosmetics was through the ever verse just like D1. HOWEVER d2 has removed the D1 Power lvl/Weapon/Armor grind that hard core players loved about D1. As it stands now, we have no reason to play the game period. We are all 335 which is easy to do, we have collected all the armor and weapons that we want in the game. There was so little content in the Osiris expansion that after a couple weeks of running raids and other endgame activities we are right back to where we were, max light, have everything, nothing to do. So ask yourself why am I playing destiny 2 right now? Is it for the weapons? Light level? Armor? Some maybe, but most of us it's for the new cosmetics. That's the only thing to strive for in the game right now. They brought back the grind from destiny 1 but instead of grinding for items we are grinding for cosmetics, ornaments, Ghost shells, Emotes, Cool looking armor. That's why we are still playing. So now we have these cosmetics as a core part of the game. It's not just on the side like D1. It's the reason we are playing. Our end game has essentially become the collecting of cosmetics. That wasn't our choice, that was Bungie, they made cosmetics a core part of the destiny experience. Now what happens when they bring in the coolest looking armor and cosmetics, and then put it behind a gambling pay wall? What happens when we know that no matter how much me play or grind it's impossible to collect all the cool new items that they released without paying for it. We get upset. We get angry. A core part of the game and the reason we are still playing is now being locked behind a pay wall. They made the cosmetics the main point of the game. They made cosmetics the new end game loot grind. To us, it's as if they just released new raid weapons and armor and then put it in a chest that can only be opened with silver at the end of the raid. THAT is why we are mad, and That is why we want to #remove eververse.
