The Cosmodrome areas gradually being unlocked.
I know I'm not the only one who's noticed this but has anyone else noticed that previously locked off areas of the cosmodrome are now being slowly available to be explored.
You know the bit where your guardian is brought back to life? Pretty sure that either in the house of wolves or the taken King that area is now allowed to be explored ( I'm not talking about the plaquelands I'm talking about the original cosmodrome.
In Rise of Iron, the bit where you fight two small waves of hive, with very cool music by the way, ( the last array is the mission ) and the fallen in the strike where you kill omnigul? That's explorable now. With a very easy hive boss too.
And then the bit where you fight the devil walker in the Sepiks Prime strike ( old one) that's explorable too. Although I'm not too sure if that was already allowed to be explored at the start.
And then there's also the bit where you fight one wolf baron and two King barons in house of wolves.
Has anyone else noticed this?

You could always go back to the starting area back in the vanilla game. Outside of the one Ghost that was in the ceiling in the hallway leading back, there wasn't anything there, so people never ventured back there. Nope - it was open in the vanilla game. I had a specific loop to farm spinmetal / patrol beacons that started in the Steepes and looped all the way back to the Divide that had me passing through Skywatch and Terrestrial Complex. A good number of people used that area to do the Fallen Walker bounty in which you had to land the killing shout on a Walker. (unless you use the glitch to get inside) TL;DR The only areas that have been added or opened up in the Cosmodrome since the vanilla game is what was added specifically for the Plaguelands and RoI.

Every one of those could be explored in the beta already and in vanilla. Except the omnigul and fallen barons parts.

Most people never bothered to go to these places outside of missions cuz they generally didnt offer anything worthwhile. As far as i know, theyve all been accessible since forever

I hate to say it but no you're wrong those areas have been the same since year one. I myself would have liked to see them open up some of these areas specially the ones for year one strikes missions but only in the year one version only

That area outside the walls has been open since House of Wolves. The area for The Last Array has always been open, same with The Blast (the Walker area). The King's Watch, though... that's never been open except for 2 story missions.

You're right about the first one (I think it was HoW). I'm pretty sure the others were open from the beginning though. I don't know about the last one, I didn't even know it was open.
