Prison of Elders
So, I've been trying to farm strange coins on the level 28 Prison of Elders this evening and never could get matched with even one other player. Tried nearly 10 times and every single time it started me solo after searching for a few minutes.
I checked on two different LFG sites and nobody on any console is looking to play Prison of Elders.
Apparently this evening I was the only asshole in my region who wanted to be matchmade into Prison of Elders.
Does it count as content if nobody plays it?

1 ResponderCould be your NAT settings if no one gets match made. I played one night trying to do strikes and PvP and it would not match me. Just kept spinning the "looking for players" thing. When that happens, if I restart my console I get match made right away after that. Could be no one is playing it too but it may be NAT settings.

POE was just pure shit, no replacement for a raid and the resting place of this games most interesting antagonist (imo).

3 RespostasJust solo it, it's level 28 and really easy. All the arenas have a corner where you can take cover. We just talked about it nobody playing it anymore when Bungie just needs to give etheric light a simple meaning again: infuse it into year 2 gear to raise it by one light. Some players might still have tons of it but most I assume are like me having between 10-20 in the vault left so it wouldn't give a huge advantage over year two players.

I never even got to attempt PoE over 28 since its got no matchmaking, still. That whole DLC was a waste for me. I also farm 28 for strange coins and 3 o coins works too. I hear some say Skolas is easy now. Maybe I will give it the old solo college try tonight. Yeah though it's depressing that we have 3 modes that are obsolete. This game really needs an optional matchmaking system. If it did I would be willing to bet more ppl would be playing it. Guess Bungle development is ok with content they worked on not actually being played.

Had a little bit of luck getting matchmade today. Got into 3 or 4 games. No treasure key dropped after the first completion. I had to use one I had on my Titan to open the big chest. Didn't Bungie say a treasure key was guaranteed on the first completion each week or did I imagine that?

POE was terrible before TTK came out. It's no shock that people aren't playing it now. I still see people either running VOG/Crota or looking for people to run it, whereas NOBODY wants to do PoE. That tells you what the community thinks of THAT content. You're not the only asshat who has considered it though. I have a couple of new members that don't have a skolas ship and want to get it, and I have thought about farming the 28 for coins as well. But at my level, I'm pretty sure I could complete it solo anyways. But point well made about nobody playing the content. Bet you if you could use those etheric light to make all Y1 gear ascendable, POE would be a busy place every week.

Lol... No, not really. I have not stepped foot in the prison since TTK dropped. I wonder if they will ever update the old content? If they do, will they provide enough vault space to hold the gear?

1 ResponderI still like to do PoE 28 sometimes and yea, its hard to get matchmade nowdays. I can usually get to the final round solo but the final boss is a pain alone.

7 RespostasI think 2 reason. 1) people play only content to get something they need. 2) not enough player in your region but that mean the game/ content is dead.
