Trying to rid the game of grindy quests you gave it its greatest one yet...

So pretty much everyone knows about the sword bounty and all that, but I do have to wonder....WHO THE ACTUAL -blam!- DESIGNED THIS QUEST? Now I know it gives you a free 310 exotic and that is actually quite nice, but let's review the steps. You first need to get 25 Hikarium(don't know if I spelled it right) Fragments. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. Even if you have a good patrol route for this it can take anywhere between half an hour to an hour and a half to get these. Then you have to pray to RNGesus that you get high light heavy weapons to upgrade this weapon to 280+. Then you have to kill 75 majors (this is not hard at all) and 25 crucible opponents (again not too hard, but sometimes depends on luck). After this come more aggravation as you have to kill 3 knights in relatively short time of each only to open a door to kill a mini-boss that is no harder than the princes you fought in the sword of crota mission. Then here comes the biggest grindy bitch this game has ever seen, more grindy than getting void kills in the crucible for thorn and completing 25 strikes for bad-juju. Now at first glance, it doesn't seem to bad, just get ability kills and get some materials...what could possibly be wrong about this? The fact that the materials are extremely rare and it requires 500 Ability kills. Now the the last part I have heard is quit easy if you get people the same correlating sword. Just get Alak Hul (cough)ackbar(cough) and the correlating knight killed in about the same time. Now the main issue with this quest is the ability kills, why could this not be just be kills with the correlating damage types? There are some classes that can't get tons of kills with grenades, supers, and melees. Take Defender for example, literately all they can get these ability kills with is their melee and grenades and even then they may get one kill with each. I can bare all the rest, but seriously this one needs to just be changed to damage types whether it be abilities or weapon kills. Edit: To the people in the comments saying I am butthurt. You're not only wrong, you're stupid too. To the people that are saying "It wasn't meant to be done in a day" You can easily do all of these in a day if you have the patience and time for it. I have already completed the 500 ability kills once and moving on to the materials next. I have no issue with the grind, but there still remains the fact this quest it too grind heavy. My main point was the 500 ability kills WHICH I said I could live with if it was just changed to damage type instead. Still would take a while, but would be more fair to the people that don't have abilities that can kill a ton of mobs in one fell swoop. Edit 2: Epic_Canadian gave a great idea that cuts down on the grind for ability kills by going to mayhem. Edit 3: When using a sensor for materials it seems to be tied to the effective range of the weapon at that moment. When using a shotgun I discovered I had to be practically on top of the material to get it to come up, but when using a sniper I could see all of them in an extremely long range. When zoomed, even in the largest areas I could see every material in the are. Edit 4: While it may be RNG, I have discovered that getting all the materials in an area and then moving onto the next seems to yield more. It took me about and hour to find my first 3 spinmetal materials with the method of staying in an area and just farming until a new one popped up and the other 7 I got within 45 minutes by getting all the material in an area moving on to each one, returning to orbit, and then going back into patrol.
