Here's a copy of the Convention of Psychotropic Substances. Here's a list of reasons why cannabis should be taken off the schedule.
- It can be used to treat Glaucoma. - It may help reverse the carcinogenic effects of tobacco and improve lung health. - It can help control epileptic seizures. - It also decreases the symptoms of severe disorders such as Dravet's Syndrome, Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease, Graves' disease, Crohn's Disease, and other terminal and chronic ailments. - Currently, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved two medical marijuana medications in pill form, dronabinol and nabilone. These two drugs are being used to treat nausea caused by chemotherapy and increase the appetites of people with AIDS. - CBD. A chemical found in marijuana stops cancer from spreading. - CBD. It's an anti-inflammatory which could treat brain hemorrhages, reducing the symptoms of psychosis; as well as other intestinal swelling. (Scrape dem pipes and smoke!) - It may decrease anxiety. - THC slows the progression of Alzheimer's disease. - The drug eases the pain of multiple sclerosis. - Other types of muscle spasms could be helped too. - It lessens side effects from treating hepatitis C and increases treatment effectiveness. - It keeps you skinny and helps your metabolism. (Look up cellulose and carbon's effect on the digestive system.) - It improves the symptoms of Lupus, an autoimmune disorder. - While not really a health benefit, marijuana spurs creativity in the brain. - Marijuana helps veterans suffering from PTSD. - It can help eliminate nightmares. - Weed reduces some of the awful pain and nausea from chemo, and stimulates appetite. - Marijuana can help people trying to cut back on drinking.
Scheduling process Article 2 sets out a process for adding additional drugs to the Schedules. First, the World Health Organization (WHO) must find that the drug meets the specific criteria set forth in Article 2, Section 4, and thus is eligible for control. Then, the WHO issues an assessment of the substance that includes: - The extent or likelihood of abuse, - The degree of gravity in the public health and social problem, - The degree of utility of the substance in legitimate medical therapy, and - Whether international control measures as provided in the treaty would be appropriate and useful. I would like you to keep your attention on - The extent or likelihood of abuse, It's treated like it's a narcotic. I can't even enjoy cannabis without being harshly criticized and stigmatized by passerby's and onlookers. My variety of paraphernalia is merely for "finely tuning the high", as if you were diluting a medicine. My methods of ingestion "coarsely tunes the medicinal effects" (resin, oils, hash, bud, leaf,, ground stems, edibles, drinkables, etc, etc) But if it's use is encouraged to stay scientific and medical, why isn't cannabis use treated as such?
What I mean by that is: WHY IS CANNABIS TREATED LIKE WE'RE DRUG TRAFFICKING AND WHY DOES ITS IMAGE GET RUINED BY WANNABE GANGBANGERS?
Solution:
We can raise medical awareness have it taken off schedule and just let the FDA sell it as vitamin supplements in just about any store, they just need a chemistry fact and balance sheet and to have it strictly moderated (keeping it within the fiberglass display cases), pricing it metrically. After all, if you see a person smoking pot, I'm sure they have good reasons to have started.
