Yes! The exact same thing keeps happening to me! It seems like sometimes when you hit them almost dead on theres just like a puff of smoke and it does a small amount of damage. Thats probably just the bolt hitting them before we can even see it but still doesnt explain the cruddy damage. And like you say, sometimes i leave someone with the tiniest sliver of health and watch my axion bolt hit them for a grand total of 2 damage that they survive... and this is my GRENADE??? Absolutely outrageous

If the tracking ability was not so bloody awesome at finding campers I'd be more annoyed. It is odd to watch and I'm sure it can't be intentional. If it was I'm sure there would be a tool tip advising of this close range problem. I just really would like to know if this is a glitch and might get fixed at some point or if I will have to keep with the current 'throw them nearish' plan!?! Bungie.......anyone.....
