Make the queenbreaker a special weapon
Its needless to say the queenbreaker is a forgotten weapon by both the community and the developers. Its one of those weapons that was brought back during early d2 when loadouts were composed of double primaries and a heavy. Ever since it was brought back, this weapon has received no major sandbox changes.
It has been forgotten by the community for a good reason too. Being in the heavy slot, this weapon does not shine in pve activities since there way better options. It also struggles in pvp since it is not as competitive as other options such as rockets, grenade launchers, and machine guns. It is a shame that this weapon is just sitting in everyone’s collections when it used to be such a top tier and incredibly fun weapon to use in destiny 1.
That brings me to my request of making this weapon a special ammo weapon. I do not see a reason why this is not possible when we have weapons such as lorentz driver and arbalest that are special ammo weapons. I would understand if it needed to be changed to be inline with its counterparts in terms of ease of use… With that being said, please bungie make the queenbreaker a secondary.

Linear fusion rifles should have never been heavy weapons in the first place, but Bungie is incompetent so I'd highly doubt it'll change.

Can't I just, "steal", I mean borrow, yes, borrow, a Queenbreaker from a Fallen Vandal? It seems to work better than ours. 🤣

1 ResponderAlso Darci is still -blam!-, just tried it today. Jolt is garbage and it does 22k on a arc burn GM. Doesn’t even stun correctly. That sucks. Fix it and move it to special ya nerds!

It killed me in Gambit a few times couple of weeks ago. I was amazed. I hadn’t seen it in forever. I may have to reacquire it from collections to try it out again. It was very effective.

The AA on this gun was so wild they had to nerf it back in Forsaken, I believe, since it was poppin heads across the map in Gambit with little to no effort in aiming at all. Just aim at the chest and it was a head shot. Since then it only recently got an update to the 3.0 verbs for arc blinding, which can be nice for unstops. If this came out of the heavy slot we may have another Lorentz-like problem on our hands in PvP. Especially since it now blinds and I believe jolts, someone may need to check that last one though. And if this comes out of the heavy so does Whisper, that gun just feels wrong and not worthy of the heavy slot.

1 ResponderWell, I am not missing it. Too many weapons to choose from, both legendary and exotic. If everything is special/extraordinary nothing is special/extraordinary.

Bungie has been very clear that it will stay a heavy. It's problem is they kept all the old special pvp perk, when they should have replaced them with more useful perks. If they replaced hip fire and quick draw with frenzy and chain reaction. Then for a catalyst add discord since it refunds ammo on kill when procd.

But that new exotic shows that this may not be possible for Bungie... And if it becomes a special weapon, it's going to break pvp like lorentz did. I guess pvp can't get much worse though tbh.

Too many people have already complained about special slot linear fusions. I like queenbreaker and would like to see it in the special slot, but this is honestly unrealistic at this point.

10 RespostasI wish linear fusions would get their nerf reverted. I know a lot of people hated the one shot from linears while dealing damage to them but come on, its ok for snipers, shotguns, fusion rifles, grenade launcher, titan one tap melee, hunter throwing knife to all one shot and while you shoot them? You know how many times I’ve died to someone that I got the drop on with my primary only to die to a BS one shot from any special weapon mentioned above? Linears need that flinch nerf reverted, its only fair.

If it was a special i would definitely main it as my long ranged Special, its sad how one change could make a weapon from Unused to A tier. Please Bungie.

Maybe not special, but at least let you toggle between scopes. That by it self would make it surprisingly useful. That said it feels like they got darci and queenbreaker backwards, qb should jolt, the targeting system should make darci ricochet onto other targets. But yes, the buff I have always wanted from qb is to be able to change scopes by pressing altfire and remove the magazine. It looks kind of stupid reloading the thing, just have it fire directly from reserves. For younger players this used to be called the queenbreaker's bow, from house of wolves. Having it fire directly from reserves, with charge fire, is call back to it being, in a way, the first bow in destiny. Screw it you don't even have to animate it. Make it so you can only shift scopes from the hip, then it's -blam!- easy.

I feel like giving it a touch up would be nice not sure it has been reworked but what if we gave it whispered breathing like whisper that doesn’t go away upon firing OR give it something like what zen meteor did only just take precision hits instead of kills to store you damage on the final shot to keep its heavy status. TLDR it needs an overhaul

I've used it all season on all 3 characters. It is a heavy in every way, especially this season. The catalyst has to be Shock and Awe, then it will be top tier every season.

1 ResponderIt is currently doo doo. But back in the day it was a headseeker guardian destroyer in Gambit. Which is probably the worst game mode right now because there is literally no reason to play it.
