No. As you said you are "not the best" then you know you are not good enough to play Trials and win. The only skill based matchmaking in Trials is YOU deciding that you are good enough to play and win. This has been the case since year one of D1. If you want to go to the Lighthouse you have to prove you are worthy by defeating all opposition no matter what skill level they are. Bungie won't hold your hand all the time and give you easy victories. So practice until you are good enough to play and win or stay out of Trials and except that everything in D2 is not fir everyone.

  • If I really wanted to go to the lighthouse I'd do what a big percentage of the flawless people do: join a carry. A streamer, other top players etc so I could get free tips from them on how to improve my gameplay which is pretty good in itself, but you missed my point about how I don't care about the LH or adept weapons, I care about the fairness of my games. I don't want to play a game mode to be cannon fodder, to fill out the space for the better players so they have an easier time getting their flawless each week. Remember, if you don't cater to the lower end of the curve as well then players will ignore the activity and the less players in the pool the harder it'll be to climb. Currently if you duo you have fair games according to reddit while if you go 3stack you're facing very good teams and if you're solo you're gambling on decent teammates. A player with 1-2 wins on his already flawed card should never face players with 6-0 so they can go to the LH after the stomp. That's just not fair. There's 0 skill involved in those games, no matter what you say and this is what my post is about. Please read it carefully next time before posting, thank you :)

  • Thats overly harsh he does have a point yes originally that was the case for trials but the game has changed alot since then its not for the elitist people that just want easy kills rather than face people their own skill level

  • 1. Just fed up of people walking into Trials expecting a Pokermon game difficulty level but finding Dark Souls... then coming to complain about it week after week after week. 2. There has to be something more difficult. Why play if there was nothing to challenge you. If you are not good enough there are TWO other pvp modes and IB every month so they are not lacking in pvp options. Sometimes I wonder if these people complain about losing when they play a game at a true competitive level?

  • No, you're fed up with your own lack of comprehensive reading. I'm not talking about how I want free wins or the difficulty to reach the top rewards in trials. The post is about getting fair games. Flawless pool should be active way earlier than it is now and people with flawed cards should get proper skill-based matchmaking as they no longer care about going 7-0. Even Dark Souls has a difficulty curve to keep your example, trials has none. If you're unlucky you'll face top players with hundreds of flawless completions who'll wreck you and your card multiple times #pinnacleofskill

  • Problem is destiny 2 is far more casual compared to destiny 1 the fact they have made so many changes to trials is a testament that it dosnt really belong in d2 anymore

  • But that’s the whole point …..destiny is meant for everyone and all of the activities are open to everyone. So many people who go into trials , cheat , use xim , exploits and farm . Trials is suppose to be end game and some of season is tied into trials and there are weapons that people want . So the op said trails is more doable …..so what ….it’s just a video game . 🙄😂

  • Say I want an adept buzzard but I'm not good enough to do a gm, should I get adepts from doing it on lower difficulties?

  • That's a bit flawed. No, you shouldn't get adept loot from lower difficulties, but lower difficulties exist to "train" you, and allow you to learn as you progress harder and harder content. Not to say there should be a Trials-Casual mode with strictly non adept weapons, that'd only split the population further. But a player of average skill, or less, will hardly learn anything from a many times Flawless player being matched against them. Think those flawless players will play slow enough for the others to learn anything? Of course not, and good on them too because it's competitive. But since it's competitive, there shouldn't be shutout matches like that, or players with such wide skill disparity between them. My first Trials session yesterday, I won 10 matches in a row. The first six, we were matched with almost entirely below average players. Me? I'm nothing special, somewhere in the 1kd+ range, but I could easily tell that my team's overall skill level and those I matched against were so wide in gap. My third flawless in Destiny history, accidental, and some of the fastest pvp matches I've ever played. I don't deserve the drops I ended up getting. Because I know if I was on the other side, matching with those who were my teammates, I know I'd likely lose every match and could maybe only glean on small bits of positioning nuances I don't already know, and the current Trials meta weapons for that map. That's it. Because my teammates were *beasts*, they moved too fast for me to even realise sometimes. And I play pvp like an addict. So no, there definitely shouldn't be anything like handouts ( not that the op asked for any), but the matchmaking and lobby balancing does need to be addressed. Thankfully, the flawless pools exist but it's at the cost of less gear farming time for those who want to avoid risking matches with those who have the skills or have already gone flawless.

  • So why should pvp be different? Anyone can get the non-adept loot without winning a single game, and the adept loot is practically a cosmetic flex for the dedicated players.

  • OP (me) did not ask for adept weapons. I asked for better matchmaking. Dedicated players could still fight against eachother for their title and adept weapons, but others who have flawed cards could at least get proper matchmaking and not put in games against players with flawless cards still.

  • I didn’t say anything of the kind . If you want the gear then do the activity. Op was saying match making felt better this season ?! Good talk ✌️
