Destiny 2! Next Gen Only!?!?
I feel destiny is compromised with the inclusion of 360 and ps3.
Thoughts? Facts?
Edit: ps3 not ps4, brainfarts do occur.

i do not believe we have actually seen a real next gen game yet. so far these games just have better graphics not much else. ps4= ps3 pro imo

Well considering 360 and ps4 are slowly dying I don't see why it wouldn't just be on new gen.

I see it happening. People don't realize that games that come out in the future have graphics that last gen consoles can't sustain.

2 OdpowiedziDestiny 2 will be only for xbone and PS4. Consider this, there are ~80million PS3s worldwide and ~14 million PS4s worldwide as of today. If Destiny 2 launches in 2016, the PS4 could have ~20-30million units worldwide ( many of those will be PS3 owners moving up.) The number of active PS3 users could drop to 50 million by that time. Companies like to maximize their SW sales by basing their projection numbers on install base numbers.

This is what I think the only reason destiny turned out to be so shìtty is because it had to be in last gen so I believe that if it is a next gen only type game then it will be what we all wanted to badly in the beginning

3 OdpowiedziConsidering the 360 gets shut off in less than a year....I would say its a safe bet it will be.

5 OdpowiedziDestiny 2 will be current gen only. Next gen hasn't been released yet. 360 and ps3 are old gen. They held some things back and the game will do much better without it. I imagine the comet will include the old consoles, but I sincerely doubt Destiny 2 will. Barely made sense to include them this time, let alone a full 4 (5?) years after the release of the current gen.

6 OdpowiedziIf you haven't upgrade to next gen by destiny 2 you shouldn't be playing or complaining. You can put 350$ together in a year or two if you feel the I can't spend money or can't afford it speech is valuable to your argument on why you haven't upgraded.

I don't think last gen held Destiny back, but if we say Destiny 2 will be out some time in the next 2 years then I assume alot of people would have next gen by then and it would only make sense if it's developed for ps4/xb1

14 OdpowiedziIf Sony are going to carry on promoting new games for PS3 and all the manufacturers are going to do the same thing, why on earth would i willingly spend $350 or more on a PS4? Graphics are dam good now a days anyway without needing a newer console. The day that Sony says "we're not going to carry on promoting the PS3 and all new games will only be available on the new console" is the day i go out and buy a PS4. I know i'll get a lot of grief from hardcore gamer's now, but there's no rhyme or logic to spending money on a newer console cause you don't get an awful lot more than you already get from the older version. So if Bungie wants to release Destiny 2 only for PS4's and the Xbox 1, then so be it and if i want to play it (which i no doubt will want to), then i'll buy the new console (providing they let all us PS3 users switch all our data to the new console. I'm not going through all the hours spent to get to where i am now again.

Ps4 and xbone are no longer "next gen" they're current generation consoles. They've been out a year and a bit. Ps3 and xbox360 are "last gen"

If Destiny really wants to be better, with more storytelling. Open worlds more NPC's and better graphics. They shouldn't include last-gen

I do appreciate Destiny being open to PS3 / 360 consoles, mainly because I own one and play Destiny on it. I do however, recognize the spirit of your point. Including these consoles has to dramatically increase the amount of time needed to develop, test, refine and then publish content and updates. It is a lot harder to have 4 versions of the same thing rather then only 2. IMHO Destiny should wrap up its time on PS3 / 360 with the 4th and presumably final numbered expansion (with Comet being #5 and somewhere in the middle). Destiny 2 should be developed on the next gen (or is it current gen?) consoles only. And I say this as someone who will have to spend the money on one of those consoles to play Destiny 2. Destiny pushes the last gen hardware pretty hard, and even with that the graphics are not even in the same ballpark as the current gen versions. All I can say is thank you BUNGiE for allowing me to update to the current gen for free. It is because of that little fact that I picked up Destiny. If not I would be working my way though a Suikoden binge atm.

I really hope so. No disrespect or hate towards people who can't afford new gen yet but 360 and PS3 are really holding back XBone and PS4. I hope to see old gen games being made less in a year or so.

I hope they release Destiny 2 for SNES.. That'd be dope, 16-bit trip out..
