Destiny 2! Next Gen Only!?!?
I feel destiny is compromised with the inclusion of 360 and ps3.
Thoughts? Facts?
Edit: ps3 not ps4, brainfarts do occur.

Edytowany przez użytkownika JHarv: 2/12/2015 7:47:55 AMitd be better for business with their partners. everyone would absolutely buy a ps4 if on ps3 they allowed a character transfer to the new gen console. so now instead of paying $70 for a game plus all the dlc, you're getting people to buy $400 consoles. and if you want longevity, you gotta ditch the ball and chain. we can't keep dragging the old gen console life out forever..

Good grief, I certainly hope it'll be current gen only! It's time to let the last generation (PS3/Xbox 360) die with some dignity intact.

It should only be next gen because as long as it's for last gen the graphics and almost everything else will not be formatted to where they could be people just need to get next gen. It's really not expensive, you can get an Xbox one for $200 by turning in your 360.

We bought next gen for next gen games, not last gen games polished up to run on the new system, but toned down to work on the old ones as well... It reeks of greed mixed with laziness.

2 OdpowiedziI really hope destiny 2 is best gen only *i only have an Xbox 360* but if it was only next gen then they would really be able to make its good and not have last gen slowing them down. If it was next gen only and the game WAS good I would definatly buy next gen just for it.

Destiny suffered due to being placed on the previous gen so I'm glad destiny 2 will be next gen only

Destiny 2 will be next gen exclusive im pretty sure, BUT. If all destiny 1 content isnt available for X360 and PS3 me and alot of others will be -blam!-in pissed.

Most likely. Destiny 2 doesn't come out till 2016, by which time the "next gen" consoles will be 3 years old and very few devs will still be supporting last gen. It also seems like the cleanest way they could cut off last gen players, so my guess is they will still get all the DLC up until that point, of course all of this is just a guess based on what would be the easiest from a marketing perspective. If they do drop last gen with Destiny 2 it would also be an opportunity for them to punch up the graphics and try some things that push the next gen hardware that they wouldn't have been able to do while making cross gen game.

by that time next gen will be current gen, so the game will be current, anything less would be a waste of money on Bungie's part.

Just as in life, we need to stop catering to the least common denominator. Destiny 2 should definitely be X1 and PS4 only.

I don't think all of Destiny 1's content will be available for old tech. I wouldn't be surprised if all DLC after Comet is exclusive to XB1 & PS4.

It probably will because many people probably have an Xbox One or PS4 by then.
