I agree wholeheartedly. I'm 16 and male and it sickens me when I see these hateful or rude comments. I learned from my dad grandpa and great grandpa that it is of utmost importance to be a gentleman, and although I cuss when I get mad, I'm never going to call anyone anything bad (at that point I just kick them). OP, the Destiny community is awful. Some of us know. Just teach your daughters that not every prick on the internet represents everyone else from the community. And learn to ignore online communities, teach your daughters the same thing. If you take everything on the internet seriously you'll go insane. So, I commend you for making this post but at the same time I have to chastise you for being [i]so [/i]bothered by it. It's awful. We know. It shouldn't be this way. I agree. But it's never changing. It's...the internet.

Thanks for this. I'm not a chick and I'm not a dad (won't be for quite a while!), but this is still good to see. So many people out there don't seem to understand the benefits of simply having a little respect for one another. I hesitate to identify myself as a gamer sometimes because of all the negative connotations associated with this group of people (gamergate, anyone?), and as a whole, gamers have earned themselves a reputation of being selfish, discourteous bigots. Glad to see that some of us still recognize what mature behavior actually looks like.

The most annoying thing is... Omg it's a girl playing on xbox, do you have fb?, Whats app? Snapchat? , can I have ur number? It's not a dating service like. Then you get the haters that send abusive "hope you die of cancer " messages just cause you kicked their butts.
