You begin with a cinematic that is narrated by the Stranger/Ghost/Speaker talking about the deeds of the Guardians in the first game and how they were the pinnacle of what it means to be a guardian. They talk about the lives you save as it pans down the streets of the Last City. For the first time you see the people that you fight to protect from the Darkness and how much better life has been since your guardian was brought into the fold and then goes into some speech about faith in you and how you give them hope etc etc all ending with a scenic view of the Tower.......and it explodes.
The *Insert enemy here* somehow breached the Travelers protection and begins to wreak havoc. The invasion of the city begins. Suddenly a you see the Stranger fighting in the streets alongside other Guardians and she begins speaking into her radio again. She starts screaming that they can't do this and that they can't just abandon the city like this. Then she turns to see the civilians and the Guardians fighting beside her and say "I'm Sorry"
Suddenly a blinding flash and the traveler disappears.
Your guardian was away on a mission and survives.
You have to go to Old Boston/Chicago/London Wastes and go to the run down tower/building there and meet up with the surviving guardians who were also away when it happened. You then have to cobble together a resistance amongst yourselves and have to piece together what happened and where the traveler went or was taken.
You have to go to the reef and enlist the help of the Awoken in order to have the strength required to push the enemy out of the last city and save what people are left. She informs you that the Vanguards survived the towers destruction and are leading a resistance movement from some nearby the city but they cannot hold out much longer. She also informs you that the speaker is missing as well.
She says that she is willing to help......IF you are willing to do some things for her. She relectantly informs you that the Awoken are currently under siege from *Insert Enemy Here* and they don't have the strength to help you and also defend their borders. If you help her get the enemy away from her borders she will help you in your task.
You make a mad dash for the city that the resistance is in in order to extract as many as you can along with the vanguards. You tell them what you know and that the Awoken are willing to help them retake the city and find the Traveler if the Guardians first help her defend her own borders. The Vanguards don't trust the Awoken, but they trust your judgement enough to try. They begin calling back all guardians from earth and letting them know that the Reef is a safe haven. The reef then becomes the new "Tower" of Destiny 2 and Crow (The Queens brother) becomes your main mission corespondent and quest giver. All of the amenities of the tower make a return in some form, just a new person doing the giving.
You soon discover that the enemies that hold the city are the same that are wreaking havoc on the Awoken and that both being supported from bases centered in the vicinity of *Insert the planets we have not been to yet here* and that you must go and weaken or take down said support in order to gain the required window in order to retake the city.
Then when its all over the Guardian resistance and the Awoken retake the Last City. (This could easily be made into a raid.) You triumphed over the darkness and brought the Awoken back into the fold as an unlikely ally despite the suspicions of the Vanguards.
Then as you are about see the credits roll you get a scrambled message from the Stranger telling you that there is more work to be done and that she has information on the whereabouts of the Speaker/Traveler and that its imperative that you trust no one especially the Awoken.
And on that enigmatic note the main story ends.
DLC, PvE and PvP events follow etc etc etc
And that is how I would write the Story of Destiny 2. Just my personal preference. Thought I would share.
Thoughts?

I have a feeling I know what D2 is going to be. At the end of this game or the beginning of the next, we are going to learn we have been fighting for the wrong side and will have to kill the traveler. In D2 Will spend the whole game correcting all our mistakes... just like Bungie...

4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika HolyHeadcrabbu: 3/5/2015 11:36:38 PMScreen fades in from black, to a shade of papyrus. One line goes across the screen. Then another. As they weave across the background it reveals our Milky Way Galaxy Mostly obscured by darkness. The map fills with color and focuses in on one speck of light. It zooms up close to reveal... SOL SYSTEM MANY YEARS FROM NOW Zooming in from the Reef, the other planets appear out of focus, when suddenly.... Ghost: De-activating warp drive, aaaannnnd.... Music starts, as the Earth comes into focus and a jumpship flies into view, slipping out of FTL. If the player has data from the first Destiny, it's the last jumpship the player has equipped from the first: otherwise it's a further cleaned up Arcadia. The jumpship activates it's thrusters and flies closer to Earth. It's changed from the first game. Clouds no longer cover much of the planet's surface, and it appears much brighter. Ghost: We're home. (Pause for beeping and whirring) We haven't been gone long... my calculations show only x years have passed. (amazement in his voice) It's amazing, your species ability to rebuild. Cut back to Earth. Jumpships in orbit, much larger and capable of carrying 50-100 people, appear as small shapes against the backdrops of Earth. (Will continue later)

1 OdpowiedźIt would probably be the fallen
-
1 OdpowiedźI think a sort of civil war in which you chose FWC, Dead Orbit or New Monarchy would be cool
-
1 OdpowiedźHere's some feedback Love how we work with the stranger but could we like learn more about her? Is the cryptard dead? New enemy is a cross hybrid City is a open world fight zone Is the cryptard dead?

Edytowany przez użytkownika zZ Mr Rover Zz: 2/10/2015 7:38:30 PMI wrote destiny 2 storyline also. This is how it goes... CRAP! (Good storyline though)

Dinklebot needs to die .

Infinitely more engaging than what we have now. I'd change: player starts as their guardian defending the city in the streets, or they narrowly make it out if the tower exploding. Maybe the game start with escaping the tower. Then you meet up with the stranger and have to fight off the invaders while civilians are being slaughtered around you. The level ends in an impossible boss fight where you die and it's game over. Only, you then are rescued by the stranger or the queen or her people.

1 OdpowiedźGood job! I liked the part where Rahool died.
-
I would just make story about the story of dredgen yor, shin malphur, and pahnain errata.
-
it sounds cool, like you're living through the 2nd collapse. also cool if the main focus was on earth and the other planets were consumed entirely by the darkness. the planets could be all post-game raid vengeance.
-
I don't have enough time to tell you why I don't have time to tell you why I didn't read this post. That's for expansion pass 17, with a free blast to the past map from the last expansion but in HD!
-
i think itd be cool if we had to go way back in time to when all the destruction started
-
Tl;dr but first sentence sounds more promising then the entire story so far.
-
Sounds like mass effect 3

Edytowany przez użytkownika adriansleep: 2/8/2015 8:03:38 PMMass Effect 3 ish? I'd rather it start like you were saying, but guardians have established major footholds on the moon, Venus, mars and earth. No annihilation of the city, we already have little enough established ground. I'd like to have a lot of expansion on our enemies and their motivations. I'd like some clarity on "the darkness" and information on what actually happened to cause the collapse. I'd like to actually know what in the hell the traveler actually is. Then I'd like to start working our way out to the edges of the solar system, with a cliff hanger appearance of "the darkness" in full form, setting up the final showdown of Destiny 3 between The Traveler, Rasputin, and the darkness.

Nice man
-
Amazing. Simply, amazing.
-
Put this in the feedback
-
It could be a continuation. Instead of fighting the darkness we are now actually pushing it back and expanding humanity to other planets again
-
If I made Destiny 2, I would build the core gameplay. And then sell you the story as DLC. Wait....maybe that idea was already taken.

I would have destiny 1 end with a looming threat that we cannot stop coming towards the city. All the people are evacuate onto ships and the guardians stay behind to fight this threat since the traveller is nearly healed and we expect him to help out. At the beginning of destiny 2 the threat arrives but in a twist the traveller doesn't help. The traveller instead attempts to flee deeper into outer reaches of the solar system. The last city is destroyed and you fight a mission to get to a ship to escape earth. You escape and your ghost doesn't know what the heck is going on and is in a legitimate and believable stupor. Your ghosts powers are fading and it threatens to kill you since the travellers light is leaving both of you. In this time of desperation you are contacted by the queen in the reef. She invites you and all of the refugees from earth to join her in the reef now that they have seen the truth about the travellers apathy towards their well being. You join her and she powers up you and your ghost with darkness instead of light. This stabilizes you and your ghost and also rearranges your talent specialization a and introduces new ones. Destiny 2 continues with you learning more about the true intentions of the traveller and the looming threat of the darkness that has invaded earth.

1 OdpowiedźI think the confirmed story is: PERSON: SHOOT THINGS!!!! ME: WHY??!! PERSON: BECAUSE I TOLD YOU TO!!
-
Add a button where I can skip the story and cut scenes.
-
I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain. = destiny 2 story.

3 OdpowiedziThe first half of that, leading up to where the Awoken Queen requires your help before she can help you, sounds JUST LIKE the story to Mass Effect 3...
