You begin with a cinematic that is narrated by the Stranger/Ghost/Speaker talking about the deeds of the Guardians in the first game and how they were the pinnacle of what it means to be a guardian. They talk about the lives you save as it pans down the streets of the Last City. For the first time you see the people that you fight to protect from the Darkness and how much better life has been since your guardian was brought into the fold and then goes into some speech about faith in you and how you give them hope etc etc all ending with a scenic view of the Tower.......and it explodes.
The *Insert enemy here* somehow breached the Travelers protection and begins to wreak havoc. The invasion of the city begins. Suddenly a you see the Stranger fighting in the streets alongside other Guardians and she begins speaking into her radio again. She starts screaming that they can't do this and that they can't just abandon the city like this. Then she turns to see the civilians and the Guardians fighting beside her and say "I'm Sorry"
Suddenly a blinding flash and the traveler disappears.
Your guardian was away on a mission and survives.
You have to go to Old Boston/Chicago/London Wastes and go to the run down tower/building there and meet up with the surviving guardians who were also away when it happened. You then have to cobble together a resistance amongst yourselves and have to piece together what happened and where the traveler went or was taken.
You have to go to the reef and enlist the help of the Awoken in order to have the strength required to push the enemy out of the last city and save what people are left. She informs you that the Vanguards survived the towers destruction and are leading a resistance movement from some nearby the city but they cannot hold out much longer. She also informs you that the speaker is missing as well.
She says that she is willing to help......IF you are willing to do some things for her. She relectantly informs you that the Awoken are currently under siege from *Insert Enemy Here* and they don't have the strength to help you and also defend their borders. If you help her get the enemy away from her borders she will help you in your task.
You make a mad dash for the city that the resistance is in in order to extract as many as you can along with the vanguards. You tell them what you know and that the Awoken are willing to help them retake the city and find the Traveler if the Guardians first help her defend her own borders. The Vanguards don't trust the Awoken, but they trust your judgement enough to try. They begin calling back all guardians from earth and letting them know that the Reef is a safe haven. The reef then becomes the new "Tower" of Destiny 2 and Crow (The Queens brother) becomes your main mission corespondent and quest giver. All of the amenities of the tower make a return in some form, just a new person doing the giving.
You soon discover that the enemies that hold the city are the same that are wreaking havoc on the Awoken and that both being supported from bases centered in the vicinity of *Insert the planets we have not been to yet here* and that you must go and weaken or take down said support in order to gain the required window in order to retake the city.
Then when its all over the Guardian resistance and the Awoken retake the Last City. (This could easily be made into a raid.) You triumphed over the darkness and brought the Awoken back into the fold as an unlikely ally despite the suspicions of the Vanguards.
Then as you are about see the credits roll you get a scrambled message from the Stranger telling you that there is more work to be done and that she has information on the whereabouts of the Speaker/Traveler and that its imperative that you trust no one especially the Awoken.
And on that enigmatic note the main story ends.
DLC, PvE and PvP events follow etc etc etc
And that is how I would write the Story of Destiny 2. Just my personal preference. Thought I would share.
Thoughts?

His name is Uldrin Prince of Crows not just Crow just had to point that out. Other than that great story 10/10 would play

YES. what if you start the game in the tower. just roaming around. you have to visit the speaker. NEK MINNIT. Alarms are going off and it switches to first person view. You and every other guardian in your server have to fight off the incoming enemy together as a team and it unlocks new areas in the tower. that would be awesome!!!

2 OdpowiedziWould be cool if destiny was just setting the scene for us: traveller good, darkness bad, kill shit, kill shit, kill more shit, kill even more shit Then in destiny 2 they would bring up the whole rumoured story line that we are the darkness and the traveller/speaker are evil,etc...
-
Bungie will turn that story you wanted for one game into a 10 year plan and sell each line you wrote as $20 dollar DLC
-
Catch me on pick my gun live now

Whatever they decide to do, they really need to start to tie things together and make sense of it In Game. The whole grimoire idea was ok, but it was obviously a solution to telling a story without having the time to create the cinematics.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Unholy Trinity Ghoul: 5/31/2015 11:58:04 AMone day Cayde drops some important battle plans in front of Shaxx. "I... I'll get that for you Cayde" says Shaxx. Cayde blushes while barely being able to mutter the words "t-t-thankyou, S-Shaxx. Shaxx holding back a blush so powerful it could breakthrough the bulletproof glass on his helmet. "I-Its no problem" says Shaxx, unable to say how he truly feels. Cayde finishes picking up the rest of his papers and starts walking off while muttering the words "Thankyou, S-s... sempai S-Shaxx". Shaxx hears this just barely and in a strong tone asks "What was that, Cayde?". Cayde stops cold in his tracks, unable to move. "I-i said i..." Cayde freezes,, unable to say another word. Shaxx delivers in a deep tone "Go ahead, spit it out!". Cayde tries desperately to find enough strength to confront Shaxx with his feelings... "I-i... I LOVE YOU, SHAXX PLEASE GO OUT WiTH ME!". 1 OdpowiedźHere's mine. It's called, Destiny: ReRepercussions of Evil Peter Dinklage waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were vex in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Vanguard Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway. Dinklage was a ghost for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to The Traveler "I want to be on the ships daddy." Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DARKNESSES" There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the Dead Orbit he knew there were vex. "This is Joson" the radio crackered. "You must fight the darkness!" So Peter gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall. "HE GOING TO KILL US" said the vex "I will shoot at him" said Atheon and he fired the rocket missiles. Peter plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill. "No! I must kill the darkness" he shouted The radio said "No, John. You are the darkness" And then Peter was a Jehovah's Witness. lol owned

Figured it would go somewhere along the lines of either the queen or the traveller being evil and you have to join the fallen. Just maybe

2 OdpowiedziGreat story! However the first part about your guardian being on mission is such BS. You should be defending the Traveler! You should be fighting in the streets and the enemies keep coming until you are overwhelmed. Then dinklebot calls the ship to beam you back up and your guardian screams, "Nooooooooooooo" as you fly away and watch the city get blown up.

15 OdpowiedziI'm just going to mute you. every time you post it's just to bash bungie. your poll and story is no different from your usual pattern of behavior. In other words you're really played out.
-
omfg sounds amazing but a little too short
-
-
The beginning was great but it faded as you went along
-
This is how I would write it, "I'm done", "now which button is it to nuke the traveler?"
-
Your story is good but your poll is a little biased
-
Destiny and storyline in the same sentence? LIES

So is this your resume for Bungie?! =) Really good effort! I like the idea of needing the Awoken's help, but the Stranger telling us not to trust them! I would love to see the game get more ambiguous in regards to the Good vs. Bad guys. I think at the end of things, we need to get our first glace/taste of the REAL Darkness that we start to fight in Destiny 3. I do wonder what would happen if the Traveler left. What about our Light? Our regeneration? Space Magic? That would be very interesting to see what happens there. I think we're bound to lose the Traveler at some point.

I really like it nice job

Sounds very Mass Effect

Shivers just went up my spine.

Needs a flying mission like in reach using your own ship and they have different abilities
