I am sorry - I do not see the appeal of the Necrochasm. I firefly ability that is not 100%, garbage impact, standard AR range, meh stability - it is like the Epilogue only arc with increased damage.
And I don't know about anyone else, but the Epilogue is a trash weapon - only good for void shields and VoG oracles on normal - if you are using Epilogue on hard, then you are dragging your team down.
When House of Wolves drops, what will happen? Same thing that happened with TDB - Necrochasm will be stuck, and every other legendary and exotic will outshine it.
I get the whole "It's new and therefor it is awesome!" mentality to an extent, as I have felt that with this game, but 9 times out of 10 I get that "new awesome" weapon only to be disappointed severely. For example, all my friends raved about the Epilogue, so I pushed through the VoG and finally got it only to wonder why they all thought this crap AR was the end-all-be-all of AR's in the game...my Shadow Price wrecked that gun in nearly every scenario...
[b]EDIT[/b]: Just for the record, I would like to point out (as everyone does not seem to be on the same page with this) - the Thrall Explosion perk =/= Firefly.
Necrochasm thrall explosion perk has a [b]chance[/b] to cause an explosion with a headshot.
Any wep with firefly [b]will[/b] cause an explosion with a headshot.

Actually, I prefer the epilogue for the outside portion of VoG. The only place where the gun shines. A little.

2 OdpowiedziI want it because it is exotic and I liek exotic things. On a more serious note. I don't expect it to be good. I saw from the very start that it'd be garbage. I hated the Epilogue. But it's a thing to collect. And once the raids have been beaten, and we are at max level, collecting is all we have.

1 OdpowiedźNecrochasm is terrible and needs a serious buff. To the people saying it is good for arc nightfalls, fatebringer and even timepiece are better (and timepiece sucks). This gun is entirely useless except as a trophy on your back in the tower.

I honestly take atheons Epilog over necrocasm at least it has a good mag size

Exactly as I said in another thread only yesterday I do believe.... Necrocasm is just a glorified atheons epilogue, and very much a waste of an exotic slot, especially if you have better more useful exotics *gjallahorn, icebreaker* I like atheons epilogue, it's a decent gun and im sure Necrocasm is decent as a weapon. But as an exotic weapon, no thanks! I know what I'd prefer as my primary anyway - *cough* fatebringer *cough*

27 OdpowiedziStopped reading this as soon as I saw if you used epilogue on hard, you hurt team. It's a pretty well know fact, as far as PRIMARY weapons go, that the epilogue was best for any mode oracles. At least inside the portals that is. Had the most DPS. And allow me to elaborate for all you Einsteins that will say I'm wrong, that the VOC is better. When I say DPS I mean the actually meaning, damage per second. Yes confluence hits harder, but slower. So epilogue drops faster. Just saying

Status symbol for the few of us lucky enough to have it now. Within the next week as more and more ppl get it, it becomes junk as the luster fades away. Really is a horrible gun, on par with UR and NLB for the bottom-of-the barrel exotics. That said, expect a buff, as it's the flagship weapon for this expansion. I think Bungie limped in with it on the weak side cuz of the PVP crybabies and what happened with Vex when it was first released.

Why does every nuckle head with an opinion post that opinion like it's a fact? I know people who are VERY effective with the epilogue. I am not. I use VoC if I don't have heavy ammo for a stable machine gun. I'm comfortable with it but that is all. I choose this, doesn't mean I have the right to convince others to choose the same way. If you are desperately trying to convince others you are right then perhaps you really don't have that much confidence in your choice. This is a video game. It makes all of us an authority on NOTHING.

As it is an exotic, I want it for the pure reason that is owning them all. After I get Necrochasm, all I would need would be Suros (excluding the Fate of All Fools and the PS exclusives as they are impossible to obtain currently on Xbox)

Otherwise after upgrading it, it's straight back to Far Cry 4 where the real fun is. Not to mention it'll be a long wait till March 15th for the new DLC, and then around 6 to 7 months for "The Plague Of Darkness" -or as it's called "Comet"-, if the leaked timeline is correct.

With the time to get husk and then Eris rep and then hope the crux drops for you....once again another fail. I like this game but the leading from behind mentality at Bungie is growing old. We should not be the testers. You can look at the stats of that gun and see its just plain horrible
