Finally got the Vex but...
Finally got the vex but I'm not that impressed.
Is there something I'm missing as I rather as it is use my exotic slot for the Ghorn and stick to my Fatebringer as my primary at the moment.
Do the perks make a big difference or is it something I'm not doing that makes this gun so good?

I posted almost exactly this a few days ago. Getting the stability perk and larger mag is huge. Throw in armor that gives more fusion rifle ammo and you're off to the races. (Still not really worth the exotic slot though)

Okay I leveled it a little last night by getting a few perks and the Vex is starting to come alive a little. Might be the perks or might be me learning how to use it but I can see a glimmer of something.

Those fusion beams have the cheesiest aim assist of all primaries so people like it for the spray

Too many people cried on the forums and the vex went from being something special to a run of the mill nothing.

I don't like the vex. At all.

1 OdpowiedźAfter the damage boost perk, take it into the crucible, it goes from 5 shot to kill to like 4 shot to kill, Multi kills every where

Also crowd control extended mags and use a armor piece w hold more fusion rifle ammo. It eats shit up

2 OdpowiedziIt's a great gun for medium to short range in PvP. Unfortunately you do need to level it a bit for it to really shine. The stability upgrade and field scout abilities are a must.

1 OdpowiedźIt's good. Make sure you run smart drift control. Once it's maxed and all the perks are on it is very useful. I use it as much as I use my fatebringer. If you're playing PVP use the send it perk. If you're playing PVE use the increased mag.

I use it either on nightfalls for fun or going against solar shield enemies. It feels like its meant for PvP.

1 OdpowiedźIts cool for pvp. I think they're better options for pve. It's more of a trophy than anything for me.

2 Odpowiedziit sucks, apart from the get 2 kills with one shot from a fusion rifle bounty -> go to siege of the warmind, clear first area, get the groups of thralls before the lone hallowed knight, hold the trigger down and wipe each group out - bounty done

Get upgrades to target it's stability, then it becomes decent and pretty useful

People think its a game breaking gun because it only drops on hard mode atheon, and for some reason a lot of people get killed by it in crucible, but its not anywhere near game breaking. It used to be a game breaking gun but they hit it with a nerf-nuke because cry babies on this forum were complaining about getting wrecked. Now its a decent weapon, not great not terrible, but fun to use sometimes and it makes doing the overcharge bounty a breeze. Some people use it to raid but i would never use it over Ghorn.

Max it out and tune it to your liking. Do mind the low ammo count though, else it does well in most PvE scenarios.
