It's 2015, seriously people.
Edit: Educate yourself on what a Scientific Theory is before you comment if you haven't already. It would save many brain cells of those who still have them.

Edytowany przez użytkownika SERAPH-X7: 2/8/2015 3:27:42 AMI don't know but people that believe in God are weird to me, it's like a kid saying he believes in wizards. I'd rather revere the sun for example because it makes plants grow for our sustenance, it provides us with warmth and also it gives us solar energy, plus I can see the damn thing. I'm coming off like a block head here but I think science proves things through experimentation and what not...it's just a logical way of thinking, proving theories and answers. Personally I don't care what created the universe, personally I think we're too young a species to even begin to question that but for one I wouldn't give it a name or make it seem like a wizard popped it into existence. The bible to me is just parables and themes meant to follow a good decent life nothing more and nothing less. The religious belief of creation over the way science tries to make sense of things just sounds so ludicrous. I'll focus on my little bubble of existence, the earth, the solar system and the Galaxy. Things that have real science behind them. I can look at the moon with a telescope and think to myself wow what incredible force gravity really is to have put that thing together etc. What I don't do is tell people that a "God" wrapped his hands around some dirt and bam presto he created all this out of thin air and later took a siesta. C'mon people it's not the dark ages anymore, read a scientific journal at least once on something like astronomy and marvel at the beauty of gas clouds, red dwarfs and supernovas. Religious beliefs might give millions a sense of peace but it also limits people on such a deeper level that it's just so so sad... Do I believe in the Big Bang? From what I read it sounds plausible but it also sounds like something to tide us over till the next big breakthrough in I don't know "whatever". I hear the LHC will continue doing tests, I will definitely keep an eye on that. Retired military guy here so if I sound totally stupid or simple minded I get it, I come from an artillery background so my heads been rocked quite a bit ;)

If you deny Christianity become a Christian

What have you done! Now the Christians are coming RUN!!!

We are taught that everything has a cause and effect which is why so many people resort to religion when the Big Bang is brought up. Because what caused the Big Bang to happen? Simply it could be nothing it could have just appeared with no actual cause.
not dissing religions or non religions or whatever
Edytowany przez użytkownika Tempest26: 2/8/2015 12:48:58 AMIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. (Genesis 1:1-5 NLT) The Big Bang

15 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika robbinnDaHood: 1/14/2015 7:32:30 PMWhere did the bang come from? My theory (which I guess is a popular one) is that the Big Bang was created by a divine power (God) Also the Big Bang theory is just that, a theory. Not even science has proof to back up their "proof" that God doesn't exist
-
I'm not convinced.
-
I support the big bang. But this always sits at the back of my mind. What happened before? What substance was within that was previously non existant? If it did erupt where did the substance that it used created previously? What about all that void of space?

12 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika angry0lbgrampa: 1/13/2015 11:07:32 PM....The big bang is a very wide and open theory my good sir. I do not deny it, I simply refute the logic in it's acceptance as a scientific fact. I do however openly accept it as a working scientific theory that has yet to be proven through experiment or observation.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Ricochet 049: 1/15/2015 8:11:21 AMThe problem is how the information is presented. BOOM PLANETS! BOOM DINOSAURS! BOOM OH NOOOOOOOO! MONKEYS! MAN! YOUR RELIGION NO WORK CRUSADES! When the information is provided in a pill the size of a bus no one wants to swallow it. It has a strange and hostile culture behind it that scares off any one who would have been willing to learn. Your title for example. You start the conversation off with a hostile comment. Instead of guiding them into understanding you bash anyone who just might potentially disagree with you. You make it an argument rather than a conversation. When I first asked for evidence or proof the first response I got was "You're to stupid to understand". I am Christian. But that doesn't mean I can't understand or agree. The only reason I can see the evidence was because I met someone who was willing to present it to me. I had to get past insane amounts of hostility before I met this person.

35 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Mattyman1: 1/14/2015 12:45:02 AMplease people, God created the heavens and the earth, With a single word, Before there was darkness , then he said, let there be light, and there was light, if you do not believe in God, think about demons and his enemy, how did they get made? how in the hell would a explosion create such life? if it so can, why can we not do it with our own explosion? there is absolutely no evidence that the big bang ever happened, and, evolution, have we ever seen it happen? No, it simply cannot be made true and possible, if you do not believe in God, then so be it, live in eternal pain by the flame, Gods people will rejoice in his kingdom of God, he is the King of kings, the Mighty Councilor, The beginning of LIFE, how can people not see this? People are truly blind to the mind and soul, If you think this is not true, please read - Revalations, it is about the end times, God is giving US ALL time to change our lives and believe in him, if you do not, I am very sorry for you, I am warning you all, If you choose to not believe in God, so be it, but what ever you do, do not accept "the mark" or known as 666, or a micro chip into your wrist , it will happen, if you do not get the mark, they will kill you, but you know that is good, you will go to heaven and be with God in the kingdom of Heaven, thank you for reading, Be wise.

2 OdpowiedziI don't believe in the theory. I have not completely educated myself on this topic so correct me if I am wrong or if there are other reasons, but from what I tell the only evidence is universes are moving away from each other because the universe is expanding. Couldn't that directly be attributed to inertia? Again, if I am wrong please correct me.
