Cheesers need not respond. Let us real pros gather and bask in our vast superiority over the rest of these plebs.
Beat Crota on the first week, last day before reset, after about two or three hours of attempts. The feeling I got wasn't as ecstatic as when I first downed normal Atheon, but it still felt good. Sadly, this raid feels a lot easier to me than the Vault of Glass did. Hopefully the next raid will outdo VoG.

I cheesing needs to get fixed soon, tired of joining groups that all decide to cheese
-
Cheesing is way better. Legit is for fags and losers.
-
Yeah we do it legit with 5 and it will be much easier later with our 32 hunter.

I refuse to cheese any parts of the game. Reason being: Noobs pay $20 for DLC, cheat through whole new raid in 15 mins, then come on the forum to bitch how theres no content in the DLC and Bungie ripped them off. You DUMB -blam!- you just skipped HOURS of incredibly fun content. First time i did the new raid with 2 friends and 3 randoms. Some idiot was asking if you can cheese the lamps section... Wtf. We get to the bridge and the randoms get pissy because we arent cheesing. We tell them if we fail 10 times we will cheese (lie to shut them up). We get across in less than 10 tries. We are at the infamous impossible to beat Deathsinger part, they want to cheese before we even try it once. We say -blam!- your cheese. Beat it in 3 tries. We get to Crota and one noob asks if we can cheese him. At this point another noob cheeser chimes in and says, lets give it a shot legit since we havent struggled this far. We failed to beat Crota because it was late and we werent focused, myself included. The other day i went on my other char and put together a team for a fresh start and made it very clear were doing it legit. We get to the bridge part and 4 of the members had no idea how to beat this section. However, they all new all you really had to do is stand in 1 corner and let one guy cheese it for others. As it turns out, thise 4 guys have done the whole raid cheesing. Not a single part was completed legitimately, except the lamps. At which point i wanted to ask "why the -blam!- do you even bother logging into this game if you arent even interested in actually playing it?" But i didnt say that. I happily and patiently taught them the mechanics of each part of this raid from my experience the first time through (i havent read any strategies or looked at vids... Makes it more fun for me, figuring it out). We had no struggles whatsoever. From orbit to Crota took us less than 90 minutes. At Crota someine got disconnected and we spent another 90 minutes finding a reolacement (reps kept having issues too). Once we got our 6th, we beat Crota in 2 tries. Everyone had a blast playing through the raid legit. Everyone agreed that theyre experience that night was worth the $20 they paid, unlike the time they cheated through the whole raid. Once everyone knew what to do, it really wasnt that hard. I dont understand why people feel the need to cheat thriugh it. Theyre only cheating themselves out of $20. I bought the DLC to have fun, not get raid gear in record time. And you can bet your ass i had a lot of fun with it. Also, Bungie is partly to blame for not testing their content thoroughly enough to find these exploits. Side note, the bridge part is my favorite. Its exhilerating being the last one to cross the bridge and having to mostly solo the last swordbearer to get across!

Beat everything legit up to deathsinger on release and beat crota legit every time went back and did the deathsinger but usually skip now cheese bridge just to save time because the incompetence with random groups is too much
-
I've beaten him I think 3 times if not 2. It's not hard it's just a pain if the people in your fire team don't know what wait till the sword bearer gets to the rock and shoot him means and his shields down while the guy with the sword is 20 minutes away lol. Alot easier then aetheon but then again he got patched to make it 10 time harder. I'm excited for the hard raid in January :)
-
I joined a group at Crota CP and they brought in a level 32 who killed Crota in 2 swords. That was my first raid experience lol
-
Beat him legit first two weeks. Still need to do it this week
-
2 OdpowiedziI'm ashamed to say I have only beat him once. By cheesing!! I searched for around 7-8 hours for a team and every single one I went into they just said do u know the cheese? I said yes and left. In the end I did it just for the loot as I can't spend hours wasting time trying to get a team not cheesing. All in all the game -blam!-s us over by not punishing cheaters and yes I know I deserve to be punished.
-
I still have yet to beat him lol. Can't find a group that doesn't want to cheese....smh.
-
Beat Crota legit every time except once. I was playing with an old raid group, and they didn't say they were cheesing Crota. So while on boomer control, they did their thing and before I knew it someone left the fireteam and Crota was forever kneeling...
-
Beat him 2 times legit 1st time my team did it was blind and we had no idea Wtf to do when we got to crota or on the bridge lol. We also only had 5 ppl. Took us about 30 mins b4 we found our how to hit crota lmao. In 2 tries I have all the raid armour cept for gloves on my worlock. Got another character to 31 so I can do it on 2 characters now.
-
I have beat him twice legit. Got way better gear the one time I shamefully cheesed him.
-
It's so easy legit, I don't know why people even bother to cheese him, if you have a good team you can do it quicker than you would be able to by cheesing him anyway.
-
Same, I was able to get to Crota on the second day but took me till Monday night to get a viable team to beat him but I can say I beat him the first week and every week since. I gotta say though, that last sword slash when I beat him the first time was probably one of the best feelings I've had playing this game (I was sword bearer on the first completion)
-
I've beaten it on each character each week legit! Plus an additional 4 for no rewards when helping buddies!
-
Its all about having an experienced swordbearer. Teammates have the easiest job and i facepalm when we have to restart 3-4 times in a row because someone dies.
-
Doesn't everyone beat him the same way: take down his shield and beat him with a sword?
-
ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS
