Title says all, what do you guys think of the patch notes?
Edit: Holy crap! Made it to the trending page :D So happy to see all the positivity towards the new update. Definitely the best one yet!

19 OdpowiedziThe funny part about being able to buy resources is the cost/benefit regarding time spent. It would take about 40 Vanguard marks to buy enough materials to fully upgrade Legendary/Exotic gear. That would take about 7 Vanguard Tiger strikes to obtain (6x7=42). Assuming that the average strike runs about 20-25 minutes on average, at minimum time per strike it would take 2 hours 10 minutes to obtain, say, 72 of a resource (the average amount for raid armor/weapons). In that amount of time, you could collect more materials by means of farming. On average, a focused player who is familiar with a good material run on any given planet can easily collect an excess of about 150-250 of any given material, a plethora of engrams to decrypt, uncommon equipment to break down for additional material (Gun parts, hadronic essence, plasteel plating, sapphire wire), and a chance at a few ascendant materials and ship engrams. Not to mention that the weekly cap on marks is 100 for both Vanguard and Crucible. Throw in the fact that players who do not like PvP can no longer gain rep or marks from exchanging materials, and that narrows PvE specific players in what gear they can and can't obtain. I feel that this was not worth it, and will collect resources the way I have been before the update. This response was in no way made to insult anyone, merely to bring into perspective the cost-benefit of the acquisition of resources.

The only thing I didn't like was the exotic shard change...yes it's easier now to upgrade exotics, but the thing is, 1 shard costs 7 coins...so in a week you can only upgrade 2-3 exotics if lucky and have extra coins. Plus you now have to choose between either a weapon, armor OR exotic shard...strange coins just became worth hell of a lot more now lol But then the shards also go for armor..not just weapons

1 OdpowiedźI think that the patch is good,[b] but[/b] bad juju was supposed to be getting a major buff to make it feel exotic but it will still do no damage and who needs a bigger ammo capacity with a gun which has an endless clip? it needs a damage buff badly. sort it out bungie

I really like it. Apart from a few minor things (no marks for materials anymore) it's great. I do like being able to easily get mats though. Exotic buffs are great! Especially Monte Carlo, that thing rocks in PvP now.

Great update, fixed the minotaur being freaking almost invincible, didn't have any teleport issues but did run into portal issues still twice as going through the portal back to the VoG just sent me right back to Venus. Still, I ran it twice on hard yesterday and it was pretty damn smooth and I actually enjoyed playing The Templar again instead of cheesing.

22 Odpowiedziother than fixing the exotics this is by far the worst update yet [u][i][b]NO ONE WILL BE DOING YOUR VAULT OF GLASS ANYMORE[/b][/i][/u] cuz they chose to fix the explots of the game rather then the -blam!-ing problem everyone has like the immortal -blam!-ing minatour in the venus side of the aethon battle never dies even when useing a lvl 28-30 character and yhte only way to kill it is to have everyone throw there nades out at him and use use the fist of havoc abbility with the relic 3 times to kill it if ur luck u will live through it

13 OdpowiedziIt's a great patch. It's nice to finally see the buffs to exotics, and more than I thought. I didn't realize that they were tweaking nearly all of them. I also appreciate the changes to the economy. This should help leveling greatly. I'll be curious to see how the Atheon encounter goes now though. The number of glitches has been frustrating.

22 OdpowiedziSucks!!!!!!!!!! They just took the VEX down again and are trying to pawn it off ass a buff ... it goes from 300 to 323! "Although we made up for the difference by lowering the number of rounds from 56 to 35" hence making your VEX worthless. Do the math Bungie this is no buff, when you go from being able to do 16,800 HP down to 11,305 HP in one clip... that is in no way a BUFF. The only thing the VEX is good for now is to kill minions from despicable me! I just tried a public event with the VEX. Just a little insight to those reading this, I have had the VEX since before the Nerf. I currently have three VExS all maxed out and on all the characters. Before you nerfed this gun I could take down a minotaur with the 21 clip and no upgrades at lvl 29. After the nerf I couldn't take down a minotaur with the 56 clip it would take all of the 56 plus 1/4 clip of the next clip which makes it about as powerful as the atheon's epilogue. Now with your supposed buff I just tried a public event on Mars the ones where you fight a single enemy, before it was take down his shield and about a 1/4 of his health now it is his shield... SOME BUFF!

1 OdpowiedźFrom what I've read the patch looks amazing. Fixing exploits and bugs in raid is great news. Buffing and Nerfing exotics is again great news. Taking away the farming is good as well just hope they make new strikes a bit more interesting.

12 OdpowiedziToo bad it ruined the pocket infinity. Don't even use it in pve or pvp anymore, because of how inconsistent the damage/range/ charge time on it. Hope a fix is coming soon.
