I've worked hard at VoG to get to 30 and now u can get +30 gear from Iron Banner. Doesn't seem right. When the expansion comes out with new raid, is there a point in doing it? Or should I just wait till Iron Banner type event happens and get gear from there?

Everybody always complains about 30 from ib. In about a week or two it won't even matter. The new raid also makes our gear crap. It's funny. It's not like it's even godly anyway.

You've made the choice to farm your gear from the raid - that's your preference, whilst others have made the choice to farm some gear - either preferring PvE, or aspiring to lighten their dependency on RNG. Consider the hours they've invested farming the reputation? It's a fair trade off, they've earned their gear, as much as you have "earned" your gear.

3 OdpowiedziIm going to go ahead and call it. Ive done the raid as many times (if not more) times then you, but out of all those times i was never LUCKY enough to get the boots. Im glad IB gave them to me because its completely stupid that people like you can get to level 30 with just a few runs while i sit at level 29 till the dark below because ive never been lucky enough to get anything but shards
-
It's not like u earned any of the raid gear. It was gifted to you from luck
-
Only the arms and legs, you still have to get the helm/ chest pieces
-
30 doesn't mean anything now. Everyone is gearing up for 32.
-
The point is to be there first and not have to wait till the weeks before 30 doesn't matter anymore to hit it.

3 OdpowiedziOk I think what should be done is they should bring out more IB type gear so u can get full set and be top level. If u have full set, u receive PvP bonus. Also u receive PvE bonus from full set raid gear. This would allow people to go for the gear for the preferred route they wish to take or both for people who like both.

Wait for the iron banner. You know, so you don't have to make another post like this. Saves you the pain of having to use your fingers to type, as much as it pains you to see people grinding in another area to be level 30.

The biggest difference getting light 30 armor from the Iron Banner than from the raid is that it actually takes skill to require it. Randomness is sometimes cool and all, but it does not require skill.
-
Says the person who's only done the raid 5 times.
-
Sure wait for a few months to not get 32, your prerogative.

These posts are getting crazy. Iron Banner or Raid, same thing.

2 OdpowiedziDude getting raid gear is completely random. It's based on luck not skill. I have heard of ppl who played raid 33 times and have yet to receive one piece of gear. I have the chest piece from the raid for my Titan and I thank God the iron banner came out. I got both pieces and now I can reach lvl 30. I had to work to get them. So at least now when I play de raid I won't get frustrated when I don't get anything

RAID is good for team play. Iron Banner gives solo players a chance. RAID has RNG loot IB has RNG loot but you still have to earn the best gear. RAID is for lvl 26+ IB caters to more people of all lvls. RAID caters more to the PvE crowd IB caters more towards the PvP crowd As you can see, both have their own useful and necessary roles. Both are important. Both give more people a chance to get to lvl 30. There's no guarantee for either.

3 OdpowiedziIm sorry but i think you can use this argument as well for all exotic weapons you got, and complain when xur sells them. Which about everyone says you didn't earn you got lucky from the random drop. A I got boots from IB and got arms from raid but i got to say IB is the first thing in this game where it feels like i earned it, not just got lucky. And finally with so much broken in this game it is ridicolous that raid and lvl 30 would not be one of those not broken things
-
By the way, I have both raid gear and IB gear. I consider the IB gear harder to get.

2 Odpowiedziwhy dont you just be a badass level 29? or maybe just wear the armor that looks cool regardless of what level it gets you? Bungie isn't making you get to 30. They only set the path on which you may tread upon.
-
If you could only reach lol 30 from raid then every person would look exactly the same! And there would be no originality in each player and inspecting people would be completely useless. So no I don't think your idea is a good one and it most definitely should not be this way because if it does then I'll never be level thirty so I can stand out from the crowd and look different. It's already bad enough so Bungie don't make it worse.

With the current state of the loot table and the requirements to hit level 30 with no other alternative but to raid mindlessly for 20 weeks it was kind of necessary. And besides, they only sold the boots and the arms. Not everyone's level 30, some are effectively level 29.
