No Child Left Behind Generation is Destroying Online Gaming.
I have made a few posts regarding the non stop incessant whining from the community complaining that the game is unfair or unbalanced when they encountered people with the VM. It's sad that they bought a game that advertised role playing progression elements that really made it's selling points focused on becoming legendary through hard work and dedication to getting the best gear the game had to offer.
The VM was the one and only weapon in the game that felt like an exotic, and rightfully so you had to take on Bungie's most challenging content to obtain it, and there was no guarantee it would drop. I don't understand where all of these new generation of gamers are coming from with all the make all guns fair and square or we will bitch non-stop. You really don't want any gun to stand out in a game about striving to obtain better equipment?
If you want every gun to be balanced, and no level differences why in the hell are you playing Destiny, and then complaining until you ruin it for those of us who loved the PVE RPG elements? Isn't there enough games out there that are focused 100 percent on competitive multiplayer where everyone has all the same guns at their disposal? Why can't you play them rather than whine and bitch until you turn Destiny into Halo with Supers?
It's the new generation of gamers all these kid's growing up in the no child left behind programs. They don't want to hear that some people might have worked to obtain advantages that they don't yet have. They all want to be winners, it's sad when hard work gets met with incessant bitching by your fellow community.
P>S> To all posting it was barely nerfed, I have video footage showing that not only was %34 too extreme it was also a lie from Bungie. It now does over 50 percent less damage including headshots. I'm not the only one who has noticed this view reddit they have tons of footage there as well.

The game offers multiple weapon types, each with specific advantages and disadvantages. For example, an Auto Rifle isn't really better than a Scout Rifle (well it was, but the ARs were a bit over top, with Bungie even admiting that fact). An LMG is not better for all cases than a Rocket Launcher. With a weapon sandbox like Destiny's, it's more than obvious that the weapons in this game are there to offer different playstyles. It's not abour raw damage and mindless playing. Exotics are there to offer special behaviors or perks. Therefore a single(!) exotic should not stomp every other weapon in this game in case of damage and make them all useless. That's not what Destiny's design is about. I can understand why Bungie nerfed that gun for BOTH parts, PvE and PvP. Also they buffed the criftical damage, so it wasn't just a pure nerf. People should realize that Feedback =/= whining. Let's say you play a public strike. Is it fun to you, having a guy killing everything because of a single gun which rules them all? Destiny is a FPS, more or less based around skill. It's not just "click on an enemy and watch them die". Destiny focuses a lot on the players skill. Movement, aiming, different use of weapons for different enemies, where other games of this kind just requiring spaming charackter skills als fast as possible. The character progression in Destiny is there, but that alone won't kill an enemy. I like the mix Destiny offers. So far I absolutely can't complain about the latest update. The weapon balancing was needed I guess (especially for PvP).

This post is excellent. One of the reasons I was captured by destiny was the fact that it claimed that guardians could receive unique and powerful weapons from enemies that were strong. The fact the people could look at a character I played and could see the challenges I'd taken on in order to gain my equipment made me tingle XD But all I hear on these forums is buff this and nerf that. It's turning into a -blam!- fest of weapons that are all identical minus their skin

The VM should not be found in a weapons drop. You should be required to remove it from a Vex that was using it against you, and its availability in a fight should be limited to the time that Vex is interested in staying in the fight.

You said it! I'm done & am back to WoW now that there's a new patch and Warlords of Draenor releases soon. I hope & prayed for a FPS MMO but seems it just couldn't work.

I always laugh at people who condemn an entire generation of people. Newsflash: Older people have always thought the younger generation is ruining the world. Think about all of the drastic changes made in our history, and how their generation was more than likely perceived by their elders as progressive, mindless, immature human beings that are going to *GASP* end the world. What this has to do with nerfing a blatantly obvious over powered weapon in a pvp enviornment created with; and I quote "An equal playing field" in mind, I have no idea. Leave the gun alone in pve, I'm totally fine with that. VM users earned this gun (Which with the exploit is debatable) and should be able to dominate accordingly.

All the exotics feel/are unique, perform well, sound different.and do awesome shit. The fact you think the vex was the only 'real' exotic only stands to show that it wasn't working as intended. Now maybe you might have to learn to use other weapons, learn the situations best suited to which, and all that other good, bungie, gameplay stuff!!!!

14 OdpowiedziThis post is dumb. Sure let people have the Vex untainted in PvE. But to have something so OP in PvP is game breaking. They claim that the PvP is competitive then they let people use the Vex. Don't cry about the game being balanced, because that's what competitive is all about. The game still needs a lot of balancing work done, but at least they are taking the right steps.

It's funny that your best weapon in PVP, which you play 50% of your time, is a fusion rifle. Why hide behind your, I want to be OP in PVE because I love it. The reason you are whining is because your best weapon in PVP was nerfed. With your total raid count kills, I'm pretty sure you haven't completed hard mode and just came in at the checkpoint and pushed the boss off the ledge. Why not say your mad because your OP PVP weapon was nerfed and your upset. At least if you are going to complain, state the real reasons.

5 Odpowiedzithe point is more you shouldn't get an advantage for PVP in PVE... every game that has both PVP and PVE who dont have separate stats for pvp run into an issue like this and they correct it, by balancing or adding a PVP stat...
