I have made a few posts regarding the non stop incessant whining from the community complaining that the game is unfair or unbalanced when they encountered people with the VM. It's sad that they bought a game that advertised role playing progression elements that really made it's selling points focused on becoming legendary through hard work and dedication to getting the best gear the game had to offer.
The VM was the one and only weapon in the game that felt like an exotic, and rightfully so you had to take on Bungie's most challenging content to obtain it, and there was no guarantee it would drop. I don't understand where all of these new generation of gamers are coming from with all the make all guns fair and square or we will bitch non-stop. You really don't want any gun to stand out in a game about striving to obtain better equipment?
If you want every gun to be balanced, and no level differences why in the hell are you playing Destiny, and then complaining until you ruin it for those of us who loved the PVE RPG elements? Isn't there enough games out there that are focused 100 percent on competitive multiplayer where everyone has all the same guns at their disposal? Why can't you play them rather than whine and bitch until you turn Destiny into Halo with Supers?
It's the new generation of gamers all these kid's growing up in the no child left behind programs. They don't want to hear that some people might have worked to obtain advantages that they don't yet have. They all want to be winners, it's sad when hard work gets met with incessant bitching by your fellow community.
P>S> To all posting it was barely nerfed, I have video footage showing that not only was %34 too extreme it was also a lie from Bungie. It now does over 50 percent less damage including headshots. I'm not the only one who has noticed this view reddit they have tons of footage there as well.

Rpg elements Destiny Pick one I kid but srs i agree with you, the vex should not have been nerfed. If you have it, you deserve it, and it deserves to be op. I dont even play pvp that ofteb and i understand this. But it makes too much sense to keep the vex the way it was. It makes too much sense to have the hardest gun to get better than the others. But since it makes too much sense, bungie decides to not do that.

This TOPIC CAN BE SUMMED UP AS THIS. WHINERS BITCHING ABOUT WHINERS.

2 OdpowiedziAn exotic should out shoot most other guns. The exoitc's I have (Super-Good Advice, Plan C, Icebreaker) suck all but the Ice Breaker (That I actually got from the raid, then XUR chooses to sell it to the public) If your weapon is yellow, you should have the upper hand over most foes. "How'd he kill me so fast... oh he has an Exotic, how did he get that?" <- Thats how it should go

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika OHIMGONEGETCHA: 10/16/2014 2:08:06 AMWhy don't you all just say and admit that you can't win on a leveled playing field and stop making these huge ass word walls full of bitching? It's bitching that made this happen. You think it's logical to bitch in opposition?

They thought it would work like Obamacare so... I mean seriously we can figure out the physics of 400 people on a 20 man boat yet they can't figure out that tons of part time employed people cannot support the unemployed which I swear by how they act half of which is simply milking the system I guess Bungie is like the US government. A bunch of complete screw ups.

Edytowany przez użytkownika CircusOfValuues: 10/16/2014 1:18:27 AMI'm from that generation, dick. And I agree with you 100% on the update being bs. Just saying, don't generalize like that mmkay?

Let's be honest here, the vast majority of VM owners glitched Atheon off the ledge (just do an internet search on the subject and you'll find tons of videos and forums advertising how to do it. Anyways, the ones who cheesed it and got the VM are the ones who have the least cause to complain about the nerf.

16 Odpowiedzi@dostranamus QQ more! Listen, having an UNBALANCED feature to a game with online PvP play makes the game completely one sided when it comes to dueling. FPS games are meant to have a little bit of skill involved at the very least and this is why the VM got it's 34% nerf. It was a necessary change in order to preserve the stability of the community. It's not about complaining about the people who have earned it or that they don't deserve it, it's that nobody deserves to have such an advantage that it can ruin someone else's experience completely.

7 OdpowiedziThe vex mythoclast being op wasn't my problem. The fact that it was fairly common for an exotic was my problem. Over the last two weeks ive seen more VMs than suros, read death and thorn put together, and a gun that powerful definitely shouldn't be common enough to have three on one team
-
I'm guessing most of these people have never played an RPG before.
-
>Thinking that farming Atheon should enable to to have a weapon so OP that nobody can kill you regardless of skill… yeah.

2 OdpowiedziI do think the younger generations are ruining gaming. BUT, they aren't completely to blame. It's the COD/BF crowd who want "loadouts". Where everyone is equal. What they don't see is how much that will ruin this game's original concept. This is about becoming a legend and you can't become a legend with the same potato gun as the crying 6 year old in armor next to you. I say Bungie says "f*** it!" and makes one game type in crucible where everyone gets the first AR and then has to pick up drops around the map to get a better gun and get an advantage. Then drop the mic and step away from PvP and start making more DLC and events.

1 OdpowiedźMaking the Crucibal fair is fine by me, but in PvE stop nerfing the shit we work hard for! I don't have people complaining to me saying I'm killing too much or my gun is too 'OP' and needs to be nerfed...I want to grind for these guns knowing they ain't just gonna get nerfed to crap...

6 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Nebulous Knight: 10/16/2014 12:42:41 AMOne word, Welfare. Seriously it seems like everyone expects everything to be handed to them on a silver plater. Halo 3 we all worked hard to collect the skulls and obtain the Ninja armor then we got the Vidmasters for Recon. It's no different here you want an exotic? Work for it. Want an Legendary? Work for it! It's not hard (Well at least it's not impossible) I've already got a few Legendarys and about to get my first Exotic. The game rewards hard workers not lazy bums! Get down from the goddamn tower and join fight!

1 OdpowiedźI completely agree with you. People seem to forget that it's still possible to beat someone who can easily outgun you. It honestly isn't that hard to outsmart rather than to outgun. People who do all this whining were clearly never taught by anyone that other people are going to have advantages over them, and there is little that they can do about it except to try and gain their own advantage. I honestly weap for the future of humanity if all we got is this "generation of entitlement"

More than just online gaming my friend....

Destroying online gaming? These asshats are going to destroy the -blam!-ing world! If we had these same kids of this generation during the WW2 era we would be the United States of the Unified Axis! Work hard to get crazy tough items = Nerfed by tears to get it turned into a standard item.

3 OdpowiedziWelcome to the world of console gamers. It is ruled by 10-17 years olds that have never been told no.

1 OdpowiedźIsn't the No Child Left Behind generation to the tune of 15 years old and younger? How do they have much money to spend on games? Wasn't No Child Left behind passed and signed into law by the party of "Hard Work is what makes you great"? How about you blame parents instead? Better yet, blame human nature as that is what you are actually complaining about. Human nature is to want what the group sees as valuable as quickly and efficiently as possible. Human nature is not patient and we will spend resources on ways to get something faster. In reality, it is the older crowd who is driving the ease of reward trend as they have the money to buy games, dlc, and micro transactions, but less time to play them. A 15 year old has almost all the time in the world to play and unless the 15 year old is lucky enough to be in an affluent family, then they have little money to spend. So why would the market cater to the segment of players with the least resources and most time? If the point of publishing and selling a game is to make money, wouldn't the smart business decision be to cater to those who have money and less time to play? Hell, it works amazingly well - less time to play means less company resources need to be spent maintaining online services and the same money can be made. Kids aren't the problem, we the working adults are the problem.
-
Many of the people working at Bungie are that generation.
-
It is apparent that you know very little about NCLB or the programs associated with it. Though I agree that the nerf was a bad move I hardly think the fix is blaming a large group of children. Bungie made the decision to make the patch. No one forced their hand. I would be hesitant to put the blame on a bunch of kids.

5 OdpowiedziAnytime a game, ability or item is nerfed because of pvp you end up destroying the game. Look at most any mmo with pvp elements anytime nerfs are handed out because of this "it's op in pvp" outcry that happens. The game itself begins to suffer in the long run. Only one way to truely fix a broken pvp system such as this. Separate pvp from pve. Let me explain. You have your pve load out which as it sits wouldn't change for anyone. Then a secondary load out which is only used for pvp. These contain no exotics. This gear is earned through pvp for the strick purpose of using it in pvp. That way they folks who whine only affect one aspect of the game not the overall product. This frees up the design team to make future weapons as overpowered as they want to without the "well we have to balance this for pvp or the outcry will be crazy." By separating these aspects of the game you no longer have pvp effect pve and people are not taking pve weapons into pvp. It remove the entire argument from the game. Allows the design team to spend their time on things that actually matter. Growing the game to the level they originally wanted. Without pvp having any control of design and growth. Separate these two aspects of the game from each other and you will find that this whining on the forums about people yelling this gun or that gun is op. They earned that weapon via pvp deal with it or earn It yourself. None of this I got super weapon X from the last boss now I'm owning nubs in pvp with it.

Can we please lower the impact of shotguns? They are killing me to quick at close range. Can we please nerf fusion rifles, i am getting one shot in close range. WE HAVE TO NERF THE VEX! ITS KILLING ME IN CLOSE TO MID RANGE. Honestly just the fact that it was not handed by xur to everyone is why people were scared of it. People are afraid of grinding, and expect to be spoon fed.
