this going to take forever!!!!
I really enjoy this game! Have so far! But I only get to play a few hours a night so it's starting to get to the point where levelling up from 20 currently 21. Is going to take forever, I'm not sure if I want to keep going! I read a lot of people on here are farming for countless hours and don't get anything! Some 40hours. I don't farm well I haven't yet. I like playing strikes and jumping in the crucible to get beaten all the time. It just seems this game needs hours and hours and hours of time playing it to get somewhere. The rate I'm going level 25 might be in the next 2 weeks which is a joke in my opinion.

I hear you man. I've put in about 40 hours and I'm barely level 25. I farmed once and it was boring so I just play strikes, but since there are only 4 strikes thats getting kinda boring as well. I also play the crucible, but I suck at it. Lol

Just to make sure you know, to get past level 20, you need to wear rare armor. The better amor you wear that has more light points the higher the level you go. To get past 24, you need legendary armor.

Don't farm if you don't like it. Focus on vanguard rep and marks. Do some bounties while gathering materials and learn the public event times. I don't bother with the less likely public events but Earth has one at 00/15/30/45 every hour....15/45 is the fallen walker seen in the early trailers....I forget the zone name. 00/30 is the moth yard event where all the old rusty planes are. You get 4 marks for completing the event and winning and 2 marks if you just join and fail....3 for doing pretty good. Great way to earn marks while at the same time doing bounties and gathering materials. Then do the dailies/strikes/crucible if you get bored....maybe even a few rounds of farming...plenty to do and mix it up so that it stays fun.

You only need rares to get to 24 so do strikes and easy to get. You need legendaries for any higher which just level you ranks up and you can buy. I dont know why you think two weeks is crazy for hitting 25 i mean this game isnt going anywhere its meant to take time which is where the mmorpg elements come into play. It wouldnt be crazy to get close to max level in other games taking longer than 2 weeks unless you play a ton and know what you are doing. The amount of weeks it takes isnt any indication anyways its more about play time which if you arent playing the game you wont level up

Maximise Vanguard marks and reputation by completing Strikes, patrol missions and PVE bounties. Whenever you reach Vanguard rank 2, you'll be swimming in marks and buy yourself one of those awesome legendaries from the Vanguard quartermaster! With any luck, you'll stack a decent amount of endgame currencies as well (motes of light & strange coins). Next weekend, when Xur shows up, you'll get yourself a sweet exotic! And if you really get desperate (I know I did!), you can always farm. The loot you'll get depends on your level, but it sure does work! Got a bunch of stuff that way! Happy hunting and see you starside!

3 OdpowiedziLevel 24 here.. Not a single Legendary. I have two weeks off this months off from work. If I can't get one, single, Legendary I will sell this game. Ultimatum and being dead serious.

Yh took me four days to get from 23 to 24 playing probably between 20 an 30 hours closer to 30 in sure...was really getting to me at first but I dont mind anymore better than it being completed in a week. Its also a reason to keep playing the game is quite repetitive so at least having to level up makes it worth while if I was maxed out couldnt see myself playing the same few modes over an over while remaining fun.

I have put in about 50 hours total into this game and I hit lvl 27 with all legendary and one exotic. You will get there. My recommendation is to work on cryptark lvl and vanguard/crucible lvl. When they lvl up you get some nice gear with light.

4 OdpowiedziI've just been playing. Hit the patrols pull some bounties, visit the crucible for a leisurely stroll. I hit 20 on Friday somehow I'm already 21. Also if you want to put hands on some Legendary stuff quicker join a Faction by purchasing a class item at the appropriate vendor. This will make all you Vangard and Crucible points count towards one Faction total. This might speed up your gear collection cause you'll be stacking resources not matter what your doing. But mostly just enjoy it man, don't be in a hurry.

25 in a month is fine, two weeks is great. This isn't a race, believe me. Enjoy your ascent, bro, don't rush things.

5 OdpowiedziWait, what? Two weeks is forever???? What the heck???? Doing strikes and PvP are the best ways to get marks for faction vendors. If you are doing both, then you should be in really god shape to buy your own gear. heck, I'm level 24 and I only have two legendaries. You should be able to hit 25 without much of a problem at all. (In fact, I did a HUGE mistake and accidentally dismantled a helmet that had 14 light on it, reducing my level from 25 to 24, otherwise I would still be a level 25 myself). And I should point out that while I play a good bit on my off days, on the days that I work I can only play for a few hours at most.

4 OdpowiedziHit up patrols, do public events and grab salvage material. You can hit your vanguard mark cap in 2 hours or less. Buy the two cheaper chunks of legendary gear off the merchant to start leveling them and start hitting up either Vanguard playlists or the level 20+ story missions.. That'll put you around 24 or so.

My friend is only lvl 13 and is basically only able to play on weekends. He's given up on the game and is going to sell it when Cod comes out. I think he's stupid for buying cod. But I see his reasoning for selling it.

7 OdpowiedziThe jump from 20 to 21 is the biggest and easily feels like its insane. If I recall you need 20 light to get from 20 to 21. But from then on you only need 11 light per level. To get from 21 to 22 is 31 light. A tip I can give you is, get vanguard rank 2. The highest you can get with Rare armor is lv 24, with 60 light total. 15 light per piece. The only way you'll get past 24 is if you have at least 1 legendary or better gear. Legends max out at 27 light. When you upgrade to defense of a rare that has light, its light goes up by 2-3 depending on how much you leveled it

1 OdpowiedźA few hours a night is fine. Just do the strikes and you will get engrams plus vanguard rep and marks. You'll start to get good armour with light, and you'll start to upgrade it, and your level will go up. Then you'll get enough strange coins from the daily/ weekly raids that you can buy some armour from Xur. Then you'll have enough rep and marks to buy vanguard armour. If you play crucible (I don't) then you'll get engrams from that as well. All without farming. I've visited the cave once, just to see what it was like. Won't be going back - too boring. Would rather play the game as a story rather than a grind :)
