I've never been so hyped up for a game, just to be let down so hard. Here's the TL;DR version of my thoughts on Destiny. Repetitive confusing grind fest. Every story/strike mission has the same formula, protect your ghost for 3 waves. The story straight up sucks and doesn't tell you much. And the game past level 20 is a constant grind fest of content you experienced as you leveled. Grinding is not fun, especially when all the missions are the same. Loot is completely RNG based which is the most annoying thing about this game. Bosses don't even drop loot, I'm not saying we should have a guaranteed upgrade every time we kill a boss, but something other than glimmer that's actually useful would be nice. Also, no proximity chat.. its like they completely ignored everything people complained about since alpha. The social aspect of this game they pushed so hard is just not there and other players might as well be walking npcs.
I paid 60 bucks for this game, so I really wanna love it, I really do. Someone please convince me as to why I should not get trade this game in.

I won't force you to sell your game and I'm sorry from poor marketing by other people making It overhyped. I also sorry it's not your slice of cake or what you want. However if your decision is to sell this game then I won't bash your decision. I got this game because I knew my friends were getting it.

You are completely correct. Just give me the same pvp halo did and I'll be happy. Now that I'm level 21 this game got really boring
-
It's a shame you didn't realize two years ago that their was going to be a lot of grinding in Destiny
-
Trade it in, crybaby
-
This games social aspect is what makes it unpredictable not the mission formulas.

Hm it was more or less clear from the Alpha and Beta footage that Destiny is Bungies Borderlands, just with a different setting. It's a grind fest and yes I agree, the story should explain more or at least should introduce characters better (which also counts for the tower crucible factions). Mission design is repetetive but when you like grind fest games, you shouldn't worry about. I found my fun within the great gameplay, the setting (I love sci-fi) and, yes, the PvP could entertain me forever. If you have problems finding your fun in this game than this is unfortunate. I can understand your viewpoint cauz I think everyone here on the forums had at least experienced that situation once ("everyone" says it's great, and you find it boring....that happens) for some game. Me included. For instance, I couldn't play Darksouls for more than 3 hours. It wasn't the difficulty, just the general game. Everyone on my FL said it's great and yes it was an success, but to me....the game failed in entertaining me. So what I wannna say is: if Destiny keeps failing to entertain you, then trade it. You shouldn't waste your time and your patience because of all the hype media (I never let that happen to me, I had very low expectation for this game cauz it sounded over ambitious from thw beginning). So play what is fun to you, not to others :)

2 OdpowiedziGo to McDonalds order the wahburger and crys. Then trade them your copy for the food, go home and grind out some diarrhea.
-
Just trade it in; it's a dreadful game and is definitely not a game that everybody will like. They overhyped their own title therefore they were setting themselves up for failure.

No, seriously, this game belongs with xbox 360 games, huge let down.

4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika JayMadIV: 9/13/2014 8:50:24 PMLet me ask this. You say you are "so close" to trading it in. You clearly think the game is bad. You clearly are not enjoying playing it. So What is stopping you?
-
Call dominos order a large pepperoni, when it arrives take your copy and give it to the pizza man. He will love it and you can go back to grinding your axe on another forum.
-
Not really being a jerk here but I don't think you did TL;DR correctly. TL;DR: I'm a jerk.
-
Sell it on eBay and get 55 for it... Wtf is up with people and trading games in for half price?
-
Keep it around because updates and such will add more to the game with time. It might take till the end of 2014 to get up to a game you'd like to play, but if you trade it in you would have to rebuy it again.
-
Well your Hunter looks awesome, so there's that, and raids start next week, they are supposed to add something to the complexity of how missions work, so it is at least worth seeing how that plays out.

7 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Shadow: 9/13/2014 8:31:32 PMI swear bungie has the biggest asshole fan base I ever seen these comments are so hateful. In regards to the OP most I can tell you is to not trade it in no not yet. Keep it and see if bungie releases anything of interest after all so far there is nothing else to play on xbone and ps4 right now except indie games and such. Enjoy it for now and wait bungie might just blow our minds I hope.

4 OdpowiedziJust trade it then. Unless you like complaining. Oh wait...

I read the first few lines and stopped. Don't even need to fully read what you said. If you don't like it trade it in. Though every game that's MP based is a grind fest. If there's things to unlock and levels to it than it's a grind fest. If you hate them so much stop playing MP games.

1 OdpowiedźEvery game is a grind fest...including COD...that's the biggest game where repetitiveness gets boring...same maps over and over, shoot this guy to get xp, secure or plant a bomb or just plain kill someone...all games are a grind fest to get the best stuff possible

Game sucks.

2 OdpowiedziWhatever. If you aren't having fun with the best game I have played in years then leave and don't let the door but you in the ass on the way out. Bye bye now.
