I am so close to trading this game in
I've never been so hyped up for a game, just to be let down so hard. Here's the TL;DR version of my thoughts on Destiny. Repetitive confusing grind fest. Every story/strike mission has the same formula, protect your ghost for 3 waves. The story straight up sucks and doesn't tell you much. And the game past level 20 is a constant grind fest of content you experienced as you leveled. Grinding is not fun, especially when all the missions are the same. Loot is completely RNG based which is the most annoying thing about this game. Bosses don't even drop loot, I'm not saying we should have a guaranteed upgrade every time we kill a boss, but something other than glimmer that's actually useful would be nice. Also, no proximity chat.. its like they completely ignored everything people complained about since alpha. The social aspect of this game they pushed so hard is just not there and other players might as well be walking npcs.
I paid 60 bucks for this game, so I really wanna love it, I really do. Someone please convince me as to why I should not get trade this game in.

I agree, I'm disappointed but its still pretty fun, I'm hooked with it at the moment.

1 OdpowiedźTakes about 8 hours to finish the game. If you do the 5 strikes, that's about 10. Once you've done that, you've done everything in the game. Everything else is just repeating these same few missions you already did. If you think 10 hours in 5 days is a lot, you're not very good at math because that's 2 hours a day.

You are looking at the game wrong. They developed the game, so it wasn't something that can be conquered in a short amount of time. As for the RNG, it allows for diversity. When you know how to obtain a bad ass item, you pretty much see everyone having that same item.

I got hyped for the game I bought not the game I wanted it to be.

You had to much hype going in to the game that's why you feel let down. Remember at the end of the day it's just a game.

This game is so much fun. I do not think you understand that this is the beginning of the story, and not the whole game. Content will be added weekly.

I think WAY too many people went into this game expecting it to be a typical FPS, when it is far from it. Like in any other MMO, there is a TON of grinding and repetition. If it's not for you, then yeah, I would trade it in. This game really isn't for the typical shooter crowd. Just saying. Also, Loot is always random in MMO's. Personally, it's what keeps me grinding. I want to pull through to see my next new shiny piece of Legendary armor. I'm on the verge of level 27 and I still find plenty to do in this game. It's all just personal preference. This kind of gameplay just isn't for everyone.

100% agree. Such a let down. Uncreative, unfair and plain old stupid. I suspect there will be a class action lawsuit as well for all of the people unable to play the game STILL and not being able to get a refund.
