I've never been so hyped up for a game, just to be let down so hard. Here's the TL;DR version of my thoughts on Destiny. Repetitive confusing grind fest. Every story/strike mission has the same formula, protect your ghost for 3 waves. The story straight up sucks and doesn't tell you much. And the game past level 20 is a constant grind fest of content you experienced as you leveled. Grinding is not fun, especially when all the missions are the same. Loot is completely RNG based which is the most annoying thing about this game. Bosses don't even drop loot, I'm not saying we should have a guaranteed upgrade every time we kill a boss, but something other than glimmer that's actually useful would be nice. Also, no proximity chat.. its like they completely ignored everything people complained about since alpha. The social aspect of this game they pushed so hard is just not there and other players might as well be walking npcs.
I paid 60 bucks for this game, so I really wanna love it, I really do. Someone please convince me as to why I should not get trade this game in.

Good bye

Trade it in. Buy the $60 GOTY edition on PC in 2 years with all the DLC.

Just do it. We don't need to know about your struggle.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Digital Grim: 9/14/2014 4:39:04 PMI pre-ordered and played the Beta. After playing the Beta, I canceled my pre-order and received a refund. I was hyped until Bungie decided not to have the game as a MMORPG but more a Borderlands type party system. The set up and small areas just was not fun for me. Lvling-up always makes an addictive equation, but lack of many other elements created a let down . I really wanted Destiny to break the mold for RPG-FPS, though it's just more of the same with a different skin. BTW, I love MMORPG and don't mind the grinding.

1 OdpowiedźI would hold on to it. I 100% agree with everything you said though. But the reason I say hold on to it is because in a few months it might get better. It's one of those games that could be completely different because of patches in the future. I would say that in a month if some of this stuff isn't fixed there is a good chance it never will be.

1 OdpowiedźThis community is cancer. Always has, always will.
You don't feel satisfied with a game you paid $60 for? Kill yourself.
You people bring complete disappointment to The 7th Collumn.

1 OdpowiedźHold on to the game bud you'll like it better soon i think. This community has been nothing but toxic with the exception of a few players. I almost completely agree with most the complaints people have had for this game but i've done nothing but support the game and offer "helpful criticism" wherever i can. The problem with destiny loot system btw, is 1) because it's RNG, 2) what BS you did get from actually trying hard to earn it gets balanced out by the fact that by week 2 of the game release you can completely gear your character in legendary and your ONE exotic without even having to earn them as drops due to all the venders they have. Most people by now have already got their 100/100 marks or are very close. If you get 100 vanguard and 100 crucible, then when this week resets and you get your next 100 in both you can buy your full set of gear flat out. Then there's the agent of nine vender who only comes on weekends and will sell you exotics to finish your build. The game gearing system is seriously too easy when you actually stop and think about it. The trick to destiny isn't to hour and hours in trying to earn your gear, just get your marks and wait for the weekly timers. By time the glass house raid comes out everyone should be completely decked out in legendary gear for at least one character meaning you ready to actually start "earning" your gear. The glass house raid is gonna be really fun so don't trade the game in yet bud wait till next week and then make your decision at least. To all you toxic effing box troll cardboard 15 cancerous scrubs stop bashing and flaming this guy. You're all douches and should literally just break your router and modems so i can stop reading you disgusting posts. If you idiots actually stopped and thought about what you could say, or have completed at least half of your high school years you'd realize there's this thing called "constructive/helpful criticism" where you actually give him advice an information to help him. I saw at least 3 of you before i stopped reading compare destiny to CoD/BF/Halo and flame him for thinking it's like of those games. The man never said anything about it even being a bad FPS. All he did was point out some VERY -blam!-ING BIG FLAWS in destiny, that bungie may i remind you said this game would have and it doesn't. What social system do you guys see? how the hell do you put a mute button in a game where there's almost 0 reason to mute someone? Unless you have friends that are assholes (even then why are they your friends?) in your fireteam that's the only time to mute. There really should be proximity chat. The games RNG system is so -blam!-ed and bungie can justify it with there vendors selling the best gear so they don't even pay attention to how much shit luck we're having. They actually released a hotfix so people cant RNG farm the venus patrol or the nexus spot anymore like they were doing 3-4 days ago. I agree with him that we should get better rewards from boss fights and that it should be an upgraded piece every time, but i did 10 of the level 24 strike and didn't get a single upgrade on my armor from it. Crucible hasn't been reliable in it's rewards and out of the legendary engrams i've gotten 2 times i got legendary gear for a different class. Every other decode has been a blue or mats. not a single upgrade from LEGENDARY engrams FFS. The story mode is something everyone can agree on, it wasn't what most people expected, me personally, idc. I thought it was fine didn't really matter as much because i knew the endgame level 20 was where the game actually began. You guys seriously did nothing to help him and just raged at him it's -blam!-ing pathetic. tariz man keep the game and get all your marks, you wont have to worry about your loot then bud.

2 OdpowiedziSteps to fix the Crucible Reward System: 1. For a 6v6 give the MVP of both teams a reward that is scaled to their level (the winning team MVP gets TWO rewards). 2. For a 6v6, give three random players rewards on the winning side and give two random rewards to players on the losing side. 3. For a 3v3, give the winning teams MVP a reward with a chance of a second reward and give out an additional reward to a random player. The losing team should only get two rewards as well, one being handed to the MVP. What This Will Accomplish: 1. A balanced reward system in which doing well is justly reflected. 2. A game type which becomes a legit way to gain equipment/weapons/accessories. 3. A game type that engages players to remain involved in a match. When everyone tries to do there best, players are challenged and rewarded based on how well they did. Why This is Important: The first few weeks of a game can make or break it. With the current system of the Crucible that is in place, players will play PvE matches to gain their loot and Vanguard Marks. Destiny is a game marketed to mainstream gamers and long term fans of Bungie's work. Players want to be rewarded, want their feedback heard, and the current feedback players are getting from the Crucible is that you may get rewarded, even if you do poorly. If Bungie wants to keep the mainstream public's attention, they need to fix this system in some way so that the public will not get burned out in PvE since it is the only game type that gives fair feedback. Conclusively, these steps will not help with the adamant outcry against the PvE or PvP, but it will help keep players interested in the game longer.

It looks like your TL;DR (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) was TL;DR.

2 OdpowiedziThe game is evolving, give it time. There are already 2 expansions planned out. Plus they will be having events pretty often. It's an MMO gonna have to let it find it's footing.

Do et u wot m8

1 OdpowiedźSell it, then, hope you won't mind missing out on the years of content bungie has planned, which could consist of planets, new strikes, raids, more crucible modes, guns, armour.

I'm honestly with Tariz. There's a little much room for improvement for a game like this, don't you think? If the story is improved in the future and more features are added, it will be okay though, at least for me.
-
I think you should trade it. We could do with one less whiner. j/k Seriously though, this is only the beginning. Take a break if you are getting burnt out.
-
I got the game for free! WOOP-WOOP! The story seems to have a lot of holes like swiss cheese, but I really feel like this is intentional.

1 OdpowiedźIt's like this and every game this type you shouldn't be surprised I will keep adding s*** to it as it goes on just like every single Xbox game in the last 8 years

Your TL;DR was too long, so I didn't read

2 OdpowiedziMy thoughts on the matter
-
1 OdpowiedźThis is only the beginning of something greater, if you don't believe that, then I advise you go ahead and trade it... Maybe in the future when the game is more updated you can come back, if that will even do it.

Bro. Game is not a week old. Chill breath. Start getting your team together for the raid. And if waiting is not your thing. Trade it in. One less person grabbing my loot.

7 OdpowiedziI hyped myself up, I took we week off, I grinded and have over 70 hours invested into the game now. It was worth it by far, and I've played MMOs (10 year WoW veteran and have done end game content, played Wildstar and tried their terrible end game, and many others) and I am glad this is a deviation from them. Does the game need improvements? Absolutely and it will receive them probably within a patch that opens the raid. Should people be crying the first week, especially if they are people who have yet to play it/get past light 24/understand that complaining and being biased simply makes you look dumb and your comments ignored? No, but it happens all the time. Just another kid raging about a release.
-
If you don't like it, that's understandable man. You don't need conversing cause it's seems like you made up your mind.

"I've never been so hyped up for a game" *sigh*
