At around 0:15, we get to see the sunsinger's offensive capabilities in action.
Take note that Radiance's text says that it dramatically increases the abilities of the user. Also take note that there is an ability within the sunsinger tree that lets them carry two grenades, and that the solar grenade functions like the vortex grenade.
Now in the video we see a sunsinger use radiance and eliminate a pike with a scorch melee. This means that radiance grants the same amount of damage a nova bomb would. This also means that other abilities, namely grenades, would gain the radiance modifier. As sunsingers are capable of having two grenades, you could effectively drop two nova bombs per radiance at different times during its charge

Thanks to Jonah Flex for posting the video here in the forums first
I love how that warlock just went "away with you!" and the pike disappears
Warlock Super Saiyan, EPIC WIN!
-
I'm a little worried that INT builds with two grenades that cool down quickly and do additional burn damage may be just a smidge OP. I laughed hysterically at how powerful my single Vortex grenade was. Just gonna have to wait and see.

I don't know if Sunsinger is better, but it is certainly powerful. Void Walker spec is a great deal of fun, but I think I'll prefer Sunsinger. I looked at the talent tree for it and I immediately thought: "I am so going to roll a Sunsinger when Destiny goes live." Sunsinger has lots of utility and empowers the player to do some really cool stuff, so I'm gonna roll a Sunsinger. Too bad it won't be possible to start out at level 1 as one, or at least that is what the beta seems to indicate. Hopefully that will be changed when the game is released. ^_^

If it stengthens weapon damage... <3

Edytowany przez użytkownika That Halo Dude: 8/16/2014 8:26:19 PMI'll give Sunsinger its fair shake, but Voidwalker will probably be my go-to subclass. Nova Bomb is too perfect for mid-range artillery strikes; Shatter Bomb looks especially amazing. Really need to try out Axion Bolt and Blink before I choose though.
Have we seriously never seen Axion Bolt in action?
3 Odpowiedziim definitly being sunsinger, but i definitly will miss nova bomb

4 Odpowiedziwhen Radiance is active I know offense is greatly increased but what about defense. Is it harder to be killed during the duration or is it like the Golden gun you activated it but you are kill able in that form?
-
3 OdpowiedziIt all depends how long radiance lasts.
-
The biggest downside of a sunsinger in radiance would be that, despite all abilities being boosted, they guns would still be the same. Sure, you could take more of a hit, however unless you are near an enemy or just so happen to land a good grenade, you would not be too effective at range. Voidwalker, however, can hit enemies from afar quite well, and have several abilities used to flush out enemies and increase your combat efficiency. It is really only a matter of preference. The sunsinger is not instantly better.

1 OdpowiedźI would still go for the Void Walker
-
i currently think sunsinger is pretty meh. a lot of utility sure, but that's not how i roll
-
1 OdpowiedźI think we all know that the third subclass is the best. It's pretty obvious.
-
Yes since your Grenade will be equal to Nova bomb
-
The voidwalker can make one big boom and that's it. The sunsinger is more versatile and has a couple cool abilities, but it doesn't seem like it would fit my play style.
-
I'm a titan but I don't think a sunsinger necessarily have an advantage over void walker. Don't me wrong sunsinger is powerful but so is voidwalker. I believe that this person specked his character for a pure damage build. And a voidwalker can be just as ferocious and powerful. You'll just have to see in the crucible. But it doesn't matter. You'll both feel my fist of havoc. So brace for impact. You will not survive :)

I'm all over Sunsinger, but good lord that triple nova bomb lol.
-
It definitely looks promising. For the most part the text and the rather short vid makes it look/sound awesome. Datto recently did an indept vid about the class based solely on text. Support aspect seems invaluable for a group work, but also solo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYU-zKd1BuQ&list=UUkmAjbIecTIjTQctolYeuDw

7 OdpowiedziSunsinger wins in single target damage but VW still rules in the AoE dep. Plus you have to consider that you won't always be able to use the Sunsinger given the elemental weaknesses and resistances of specific enemies.
-
1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Amusekus: 8/16/2014 1:03:55 AMPutting the element out the equation. Radiance does 2 things, reduces cool downs and do more damage with abilities. So you'll be able to recycle abilities a lot and send out some damage. So what makes the Warlock Super Nova comparable. A super that is range and you have a lot of control over it. In PvP to me this means that people that depend on good close range abilities and weapons I thing Sunsinger will work better. The range players will still prefer Super Nova to blast people from afar. Is on more "powerful" thanthe other, possible but I still think play-style will still have a big effect on what people choice. EDIT: just to make clear when I say more powerful I am assuming it's not by a big margin.

2 OdpowiedziDid anyone else notice that the Sunsinger had the Solar grenade icon equipped, but didn't leave a lasting AoE on the field with his grenade?
-
I will most definitely be using a Sunsinger class in PvE. I haven't decided whether to go offensive or supportive yet. I suppose time will tell.
-
10 OdpowiedziI'll be supportive with it though.

depends on your playstyle nothing is strictly better than something else in this game
