you have it all wrong. destiny said there will be no MM. it's just the inept, the "lone wolves" and the fps fanboys didn't like that idea. there is also the fact that it took the internal game testers 6 hours to complete the vault of glass, and a clan of well known alpha testers played 16 hours and still failed to complete the raid. with MM you are looking at over 20 hours with people who have no reason to stick around for the completion of the raid. not to mention the large number of players with no mic who won't listen. bungie said they won't put in matchmaking because they want raids in destiny to be social events so that people make friends and join clans.
