What about a solo option for Strikes/Raids?
Just to see how far we can get alone.

1 Odpowiedź
What about a solo option for Strikes/Raids? Just to see how far we can get alone.
I am Kirito, solo player. If youre man enough just solo the raids, as for strikes, make youre firearm leave you or something and solo it.
-
Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of strikes and raids? You have plenty of options and ways to get gear if you choose the solo route.
-
Yes yes yes
-
Might be easier if you're not towing a group with you
-
Yes! Or at least can enter with a number below the maximum, like if me and a mate wanted to do a strike without a random tagging along.
-
Would be nice to have an easier 1 player option for those that don't want to raid. Obviously lower gear for this, this would just let non raiders experience the content.
-
10 OdpowiedziLol. No point. They'll be too hard. /end thread

You're not gonna solo a raid for awhile. At least until you're a good 10-15 levels higher (next game/expansions)
-
How about not? You have the choice to free roam Solo but strikes will either require you have 3 players in your strike team or it will match make you with other solo players. Raids I guess will require a full compliment to enter the instance. These instances will be hard enough for a full Strike Team or Raid Team, why would you think that entering solo would even be an option? If the content is so unchallenging that captain e-peen can solo it then Bungie have got something very wrong. And if it is as tough as we expect then trying to solo it is just a waste of bandwidth and processor time.

13 OdpowiedziI actually want to try it out solo. It was really annoying for me in the beta that it always put me in matchmaking when I just want to do it by myself. I don't care when people say "oh it is impossible. You can't do it solo". Nothing is impossible!
-
Sure, I think a solo option would be fun. I also think a cross platform option would be fun too. I'd love to link up with my PS4 friend and do raids together. We initially pre-ordered destiny after hearing rumours of cross platform, and after hearing that cross platform is being restricted because of graphics/resolution differences, I'm pretty disappointed. However, lots of people are worried about finding a team on their current console - why not open up raids to all platforms and allow players to connect with their friends on other systems if it is possible?

1 OdpowiedźStrikes, sure. Raids no. If any Raid even gives the illusion that it is soloable, then it needs to be renamed a Strike. Nothing about a Raid should give the impression " hey, you might be able to get some loot here solo ".
-
Options are good. Solo for a raid...not so much, but I do support allowing a full 3 man fire team to participate in raids. Like a post stated earlier, any less than that and it should be called a Strike. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but it's hard enough to get 3 or 4 dedicated friends to adjust their schedules, be the issue school, work, or family, together at the same time to obtain the same objective. Let alone 5 more to fill a raid raid team. Now, my wife supports my digital crack addiction, but others aren't so fortunate.

Yes, please

Sure, I like options and I think it would be interesting to see how far I could get as well with all my high leveled gear. Options can't make people mad because they can choose something that suits them. Options are good.

12 OdpowiedziI find it funny that people don't want as many options as possible. I like the idea of an option to have a solo raid/strikes. Unless Bungie makes it impossible for me to join a raid by myself then I will try it. Also being forced to play with a group you don't know could cause allot of failing the raid. Everyone knows there are some that will do things on purpose if they get pissed. Not everyone has tons of friends that play video games. Giving the option of a solo raid would be nice. It's doubtful it will happen, but at least we are asking.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Dieharderxx: 8/4/2014 6:43:27 PMSure. As noted when you join, it says 1 to 3 players for strikes. Give us the option. Raids, that is likely another story.

No, no no and for the love of all the Gods NO! *Tries to get the rage to subside*

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika MightyJonE: 8/4/2014 4:10:55 PMdid you TRY playing the strike mission solo? my teammates disappeared early, and I can assure you that getting through even the first part solo was impossible, despite attempting to use cunning tactics over several re-tries! :) i think the difficulty would have to be toned down for solo play - but isn't it the point that strike missions ARE meant to be played as a team, because of the sheer force of numbers and firepower you're up against? also, don't forget, it's still possible to play the strikes solo if the rest of your team disappear
-
I once walked all the way over and soloed the Devil Walker. Damn thing took forever to kill and it didn't even drop any loot! Sucked lol
-
2 OdpowiedziIf raids are suppose to be massively difficult for 6 people, what makes you think it's a smart idea to try one alone? You'd get destroyed in a heart beat.
-
1 OdpowiedźI can't support this idea OP. Strikes and raids are about teamwork.
-
solo for strikes = high chance of rare rewards. i'd like that
-
3 OdpowiedziI think it should give you a warning this recommended to be done with x players when you select the option for solo. Personally i would like this to see just how far i can go by myself.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Random Hammond: 8/4/2014 1:59:26 AMI completed the strike on the beta by myself, the other gardians left or dropped. If course I had to keep going just to see if i could. But the raids are team based so i can't see it.
