Things I think that should be addressed after I spent 22 or so hours with the beta. [b][u]my original opinions are in regular writing. Everything in bold/underline, is feedback from commenters that I added on. They're your opinions now guys! Hope I did you proud by fixing this post! [/u][/b] 1) Warlocks need a more distinguishing exclusive armor piece than an armband. They just aren't that noticeable [b][u]Most people in the comments agreed with this. Maybe a whole sleeve or distinguishing gauntlet?[/u][/b] 2) everyone got a lot of the same armor early on that all looked the same. We should be able to if not get more armor, at least be able to change the colors of each armor piece from early on [b][u]everyone looking the same early on doesn't matter too much with same armor. Higher levels are what will distinguish players[/u][/b] 3) there's a huge skill ceiling for the hunters super where the 2 other classes are so easy to use, a caveman could do it. Less skilled or unlucky Hunter's might not always get the desired effect or die before using it after activation [b][u]Hunter super is OP. It takes more skill but that's a good thing cause it's so good. Maybe get rid of the drain bar and only lose the gun if you die or all 3 shots are fired?[/u][/b] 4) interceptor. [u][b]been addressed by bungie already[/b][/u] 5) add guns to the sparrow. But pretty nurfed. I don't want them strong where everyone is just on them all the time clearing out the missions/areas. But strong enough just to take out Dregs. And maybe a little stronger physically so that they can "splatter" [b][u]no guns on sparrow. No one would get off. Maybe easier splattering?[/u][/b] 6) lower the kick/recoil on pulse rifles [b][u]yes[/u][/b] 7) shotguns need a bit more range [b][u]NO. They are fine[/u][/b] 8) guns like the pulse rifle and the scout rifle that have the same attack rating as auto rifle are at extreme disadvantages. If I'm using an auto and someone else used a scout, I win every single time no contest because we have same damage per hit, but I do more damage per second. Example: lvl 8 guns and their dps caps at that level (what I think they should be) auto: 62, pulse: 72, scout: 82. The pulse and scout shoot slower so they should do more damage to level out the playing field. Beta was solely auto usage [b][u]this one is up in the air. I can't get a strong answer from either yes to fix it or no to leave it. People are on both sides of the spectrum here[/u][/b] 9) make the hand canons faster to reload, easier to aim, and stronger than other guns. You're at an extreme disadvantage with it in PvP. Where I gave attack levels in my previous example for the other guns, I think a lvl 8 magnum's cap dps should be like 90. Take like 4 shots to the chest to kill, 3 head shots. [b][u]most people tend to agree that something should be done to improve the hand canon somehow. No one has a solid idea as to how. Maybe make it more accurate and easier to handle but then Nerf the damage a bit?[/u][/b] 10) make it so that when you enter an area with enemies that are significantly above your level, have a clear warning you're venturing into a dangerous zone (for your character level) [b][u]No. People like that danger can be lurking anywhere and it adds to the game. It's a sense of suspense, wonder and never knowing what will happen[/u][/b] 11) make fireteams up to 4 instead of 3 people [b][u]most people think keeping it at 3 people is perfect. Too many people would make missions and strikes too easy[/u][/b] 12) have in-game chat where you can talk with anyone who happens to be in the same area and you cross paths. But make an option to turn it on or off so you don't get spammed by jerks [b][u]most people agree[/u][/b] 13) recent fireteam history [b][u]most people would like an in game version of this instead of going to the consoles recent player list[/u][/b] 14) better support for party chat. It was stupid on Xbox having to keep snap open all the time or if you were in fireteam, had the voices coming through both tv and headset [b][u]this was only an issue in the beta and will be fixed. Plus I derped with my own settings :p[/u][/b] 15) more armor customization options. I'd like to see arms and legs get separated into 2 more categories. For example, now it's head, arms, torso, legs, special. I think it should be: head, shoulders, arms, torso, legs, calves/boots, special [b][u]most people say no and to keep it how it is. More armor would mean stronger defense and that would mean making weapons stronger and THEN that would mean having to make enemies tougher. It's too slippery of a slope[/u][/b] 16) I emphasize again, making color customization early options to avoid everyone looking the same early on [u][b]people would like shaders early on[/b][/u] 17) make legendary equipment for low levels. Can opt to keep it in vault once it's grown out of as a trophy or sell it for higher payday than like 20 glimmer let's say. [b][u]not many people have much to say about this. Those that do, like it[/u][/b] 18) instead of disassembling your gear and weapons for mere pennies in the inventory menu, you should have the option to do that to attain armor pieces and weapon parts, or sell them for higher payout at the weapon smith without getting weapon and armor parts [b][u]most people that comment on this agree[/u][/b] 19) customizable visor colors [b][u]nobody really has an opinion to this. I guess it's not too bad an idea[/u][/b] 20) clan emblems [b][u]most people say yes[/u][/b] 21) weapon color/skin customization (no means legendary but like matte colors) [u][b]most people say yes[/b][/u] 22) more frequent inventory swaps for the ship master, weapon smith and chrypto-whatever guy. Ships should respawn in the store once every 48 hours (sorry if it was that in beta) and the other 2 I mentioned every 8 hours (sorry if it was that). Oh emblems woman too! [u][b]most people think it'll stay roughly the same as it was within the beta[/b][/u] 23) special ammo should spawn less but you have more in your reserve at your disposal [b][u]nobody has said much about this. Maybe it's a good idea?[/u][/b] 24) your specific vanguard in the tower should have more class specific items for you to buy than what they had in beta (was like 8 armor pieces, 2 emblems, and like 3 of the class specific armor) [b][u]the beta was limited. People seem to think the full game will offer more content[/u][/b] 25) in the beta green engrams would drop from enemies and you could sometimes get a blue rare item from it or if extremely lucky, a purple legendary. Engrams should be color codes to the rarity of the weapon/armor. So blue, green, purple, white engrams should drop. Not just green and white. [b][u]most people disagree and think the mystery of it is half the fun. In my opinion, instead of making dropped engrams green and maybe being confused when you don't get a green item, make the engrams a neutral color like yellow or something. That way you actually never ever have any idea as to what rarity it is?[/u][/b] 26) titans should have the option to turn the jet pack off in mid flight. I found it a hassle to wait for the whole thing and over shoot your target landing area [b][u]im an idiot. Yes. Let's move on. [/u][/b] 27) community events like hold the giant spike ball from enemy waves, kill target enemy before it reaches destination and destroy drills should be fixed. Drill missions were fine and so were the defend spike ball from waves. But killing the enemy before reaching target was damn near impossible with 2 people or alone. [b][u]the general consensus is two things. 1) it's a community event to kill the enemy before it reaches the objective so it's meant to be taken on by 3 or more people. And 2) yes people want to see these enemies slightly less difficult[/u][/b] 28) yellow named enemies are sometimes way too strong. Their just bullet sponges. They are sometimes overwhelming with 2 people or alone [b][u]i was unclear by this point. Most people are confused. I was talking about when the game would glitch or the enemies you have to kill in community events that are taking clips and clips of ammunition. Thoughts? [/u][/b] 29) my last 2 issues, there should be a level detector or something or maybe be nerfed 15-25% [b][u]what I mean exactly is that the game should maybe detect how many guardians are in the area so it an slightly adjust the difficulty. Cause I would sometimes be alone in the area and it would be near impossible to pass[/u][/b] 30) people wanted me to add this one in. It's been discussed in the comments how when community events start, the area gets really dark and cloudy and then a ship rolls up and you can choose to participate or not. What some commenters would like is to maybe have your Ghost say something like "there appears to be incoming enemy ships" or "enemy ships are gathering in "insert location here"" like 15-30 seconds before the event starts and THEN the black clouds roll in when it starts. Kinda like how the heavy ammo gets announced in PvP prior to drop. [b][u]So, so far people think that this is something to put in[/u][/b] There you have it. 30 things I noticed that could be better. They are minor inquiries, nothing too huge. There weren't really any bugs. That's just my input on what could be better. Not everyone will agree with everything but I think it would all be beneficial. Let's hear some input and response!! [b][u]It seems after putting in the bold/underlined text next to each point, I've stopped receiving comments. So I'm assuming that everyone more or less agrees with the final results on pretty much everything. Thanks for the help and insight guys, it was appreciated :)[/u][/b]

If they give you mars the moon and Venus you want all 9 planets(figuratively), my point is the game is fine as is and we don't even know what they have changed. Don't call me a -blam!-ing idiot.

  • This is a full on reply too the whole thing so apologies if it's long (that's what she said ;P) 1: Warlocks currently in Alpha and Beta didn't really have standing out decor gear and I sympathize since I want to be Warlock in the full game, but since playing it I noticed in the Legendary section for the speaker, the Warlock has a Holographic Purple arm band, it is pretty 'effin' pimp, so later on Warlocks will have distinguishable special armour effects. 2: (Agreed with in BOLD text) 3: I think the hunter is fine by itself, the super is used by seasoned veteran players who naturally are able too sling off a double kill for a tooth brush and a fanny pack. Plus Warlocks and Titans have minuses in their supers, like every time I hit a wall with the Nova Bomb in PvP... 4: Totally agree but if you have a well aimed scout rifle you can take that tank for yourself. (However Bungie did address the matter like said :) ) 5: Sparrows, so I thing that the Sparrows should be upgradable, you can already see the pikes barrel roll, and if you look at the ship quarter master the dude gives you a barrel rolling sparrow in exchange for Vanguard points, which I earned and ended up getting, so maybe in the future you can see sparrow guns, and I know you said no one would cone off them, but what about cool downs? Or that using a sparrow gun uses up boost or barrel rolls? 6: Agreed with cuz Pulse Rifles are meant too be middle, but the only guns ever are Scouts and Autos. Definitely Agreed :) 7: Agreed with shotguns, but I think if they introduce autoshotties something's shall be said xD 8: Now, I learnt from literally spraying rounds into Hallowed Knights, that if a attack is 15 on a Scout rifle, it will do 28-39 in upper body/ neck. And a auto with 15 attack will do 20-26 from the same point. Granted Auto guns are pretty OP sometimes, the attack isn't really accurate, eg: I had a 36 damage auto at rank 3, and I noticed that on smaller enemies, I did 50dps, but on the steroid takers, 12 dps, so I think that the Attack is more of a summary than an actual "every bullet does this damage" sort of thing. 9: The hand cannon has mixed views, I know a variety of gamers who live them, but a real game changer... Dual wield, make -blam!-ing hand cannons dual wieldable. That would be so bad ass and increase the weapon to the two handed sections. 10: I agree, jump scares are awesome and add too the game, totally agree too keep it level. 11: Maybe for some have 6 if the enemies are tripled or even quadrupled? But having three does stick too the whole story side :) 12: I totally agree, ingame chat is awesome and Bungie really are risking it too take that away. 13: I honestly do not pay attention too that, but I agree if you meet a jerk and you wanna replay him in 1v1 him or report him for being unsporty :) 14: I never had this problem, and if it's just you I can't say much on this :P 15: I agree with the keeping it the same, but maybe with shaders have them separated? 16: I think every Guardian looks bad ass without shaders, just raw with only your gun, metal and sweat, but sometimes if you feel more decorative this might be a problem, however Bungie says they want everyone to rank up too 20 quickly, as it's a softcap on ranking but contains shaders and other cool stuff. But I think if you can reach level 8 in one sitting, it will be fine :) 17: Again, you rank up quickly in the full game, maybe 2 days and a half of grinding to get there, or maybe a month for someone with school. Keep weapons legendary, keep them a mystery until you unlock yourself enough light too wield the legendary. 18: I can agree on half of it, they already give you weapon parts but that's pretty much all I disagree with, maybe selling weapons at the store would help, maybe only being able too sell white and green weapons too the gunsmiths an idea? And blue, purple etc. Can be dismantled for green weapon parts or strange perks inside of them. 19: Custom Visors with shaders like said preciously, never thought of it but it's an awesome idea :D 20-21: Clan emblems should be like custom packs bought from the guardian outfitter! A customs pack which is white gives you 8 basic colours and shapes, green gives you more shapes and 2 colours, blue gives awesome shapes like wolves in the emblem etc. Awesome idea! And having matte colours on guns would be cool but so many guns would mean a lot of crap, however sticking on a custom clan emblem? Pretty badass :D 22: More inventory swaps would be cool, and maybe just different ones for different servers! Or even paying motes of light to upgrade/swap your venders inventories. 23: I think that the whole special ammo should be kept the same, shouldn't change unless a gamemode requires it. I can make one up, like Bare Wolf, it could be one where everyone gets stripped of their primary for a 2 shot kill hand cannon, then everytime someone dies they drop ammo for specials, and maybe on a kilstreak of 5 drop heavy ammo? Maybe strip special ammo if a gamemode like that pops up. 24: I think that the beta will have a lot more content, plus you don't just go too the vanguard for armour, factions like Dead Orbit, New Monarchy and Future War Cult have armour venders for your class armour :) 25:I think the system is fine the way it is, half the time you're too busy cappin' Dregs and Shanks too give a glim, but I can see your point and don't mind it. :) 26: xD same problem I had, fell off Shores of Time in that short cut by B so many times, it used too haunt me ;-; xD 27: Ahh the famous Reaver Captain, for a hard time comes big prizes, I found difficult sometimes but I could still kick it by myself, some have certain skill ranges though and the game is based off of multiplayer, the game is meant too bring socialism really high so it's easy too see what you're talking about, maybe nerf enemies when event starts with only one player? 28: Buller sponges can be difficult but sometimes it's like an mmo mini boss, the guy will keep coming back. Bungie try making this feeling of a small boss battle, even in free roam, it was a pricey move but I think it payed off and it is a lot of fun killing them. 29: On the explore the cosmodrome, you can see that it says level 4, those hard bastards are just more bullet spongers mate xD 30: I think that this should stay the same, if clouds roll in it doesn't change much in my opinion but I see why people get annoyed. And even though it's said everyone agrees, I just think those spikey twigs needed some cutting ;) sorry if this wad legitimately a finished thing. xD

  • Weapon impact and enemy impact resistance. That's the explanation for that damage difference. It makes certain enemies vulnerable to certain varieties of gun. Also range can effect the damage reduction as well.

    Your link is to the same shotgun but with a different ability . I did not "claim" anything read the description (ability) found on the image. You hold the trigger and it will continue to fire, watch the video.

  • shotguns were O.P in the beta i agree with that i tried using the pulse rifles they suck really badly so every1 had a shotgun. also the i agree what u said in number 8 the auto guns were O.P in pvp my friend had a scout rifle he could hardly get a kill in pvp with it so he got a auto and guess what he would go 23 and 6 each game when he had a scout 11 and 10 thats how bad the scouts r in pvp.

  • holy poop thats a lot of writing. dude u the warlocks bond is easy to see look up datto does destiny when u get a high rank there bonds are so cool they glow red or whatever color. and the same 4 titan there cap is hard to see but as i ranked up in the beta his cape thing got bigger and cool just like the warlocks.

  • I generally agree with everything, but for making the game any easier no i don't agree with that. Its like you said when we start changing things to much its a slippery slope to a easy game that nobody cares about, reference to question 29. question 28, enemy's that out match you should take clips and need to be done by more then just you. community events should require more then 3 people making it any easier or increasing the time to kill one guy before he gets away makes the game boring there should always be some kind of chance for them too.

    It's a good sign that some people suck because there are equal requests to make it harder. People don't get that it is for kids AND adults so it is in the perfect balance of not to hard not too easy. I'm sure the level/difficulty will be more in the beta.

  • Hand cannons must be the kind of secondary weapon you use in mid distance. Lethal at 6-10 metres. Two shots should be enough to crush a guardian's shield. Headshot should be instant KO. That's all I have to say. By the way this should be posted on #feedback

  • I think before the warsat event starts, it should have a waypoint pop up so you don't get crushed when it comes down.
