Why cant the "ghost" voice be a girl?
I would rather my ghost talk as a girl rather than a guy....I prefer a girls voice over a guys.
It'd be cool if they gave you an option for male voice or female

Becuase they would have to hire another voice actor, it's not as easy as pressing a button.

I actually find it a nice change that the AI sidekick has a male voice. I get tired of listening to some whiny AI woman. I mean no offense by that but it seems to have been the norm until now. And although I don't know his name I love the actors voice. Before I get slammed for not knowing his name I know he is the little person in Game of Thrones.

Edytowany przez użytkownika ColonelPutty: 8/1/2014 3:25:25 PMgiven the slew of customizable options and focus on player experience, the narrative stuff seems incidental by comparison (and also somewhat bland), so i get the whole personal preference thing. the issue falls into one of those narrative vs gameplay dichotomies, in that the more one is emphasized over the other, perception and expectations will follow. all in all, i can forgive the inconsistencies, but a customizable ghost probably would have made more sense, gameplay-wise.

Bungie had Peter Dinklage do the voice of the Ghost (an actor from Game of Thrones) They spent a good chunk of money having a badass actor with a badass voice do the voice overs for the Ghost. Why would they give an option to change it??

Why couldn't I make Cortana a boy? The reason is because your ghost is a functioning part of the story. It was written as a male voice and it will stay a male voice. From a production standpoint, the ghost has more lines than anyone else in this game.... it would take much time and wasted efforts to record multiple versions of the same. Especially when they already have it the way they wanted it.

Fail to see why this an issue for people? The Ghost is a male character? It's like complaining that you can't decide if you want Mario to be male or female? If the ghost was female, not one person would complain! I'm all for equality but this is just silly!
