I think a lot of people wanted a new princess because... Well... -blam!- the patriarchy and -blam!- the monarchy. But here's the thing: IT'S A BABY. It is a boy. He is too young to express his gender identity and so we should really let the kid be. Would a sassy gay prince be historic and awesome? Yes. But what's better is someone living their life the way they want. Still, it's a baby.

Image saved, thanks OP.

Announcing someone's physical gender is racist, though

If that baby does identify with a gender that does not match its sex, then it would suck to have all of this media attention and information referring to the baby as a boy already. Why can they not just leave the damn kid alone? I really hate the way humans worship "royalty" or celebrities. It is pretty disgusting.

2 OdpowiedziBeing transgender is a mental illness.
-
Really, the fact that a "royal baby" can still exist is far more hilarious / stupid than people getting mildly beefed about gender / sex semantics.
-
Sometimes I feel like I was born a mermaid, but im stuck in a human body, can science make it possible to give me gills and fins its really important to me.
-
4 OdpowiedziI'd just like to take this opportunity to say: -blam!- the monarchy www.canadian-republic.org

you're right it does hurt.
-
Political correctness taken to an unnecessary level. The best example of a persecution complex I've seen; the apparently innocuous statement of a baby's biological gender somehow translates to a snarky, presumptuous slight to minorities everywhere.
-
The best part of this thread is the pure mad originating from the people who've posted in here.

21 OdpowiedziOh god thats hilarious. Can I be a dog? Can I choose to me a cat trapped in a humans body? Shit like this is normal today? LOL no wonder society is going down the shitter

Can you please inform me of where you live so that I may avoid ever seeking mental treatment from you? I do not want to walk away from talking to someone about my personal issues, and end up feeling worse about myself and feeling like I am worthless to humanity and probably give up on life.

Edytowany przez użytkownika The Dark Hadou: 7/25/2013 3:16:17 PMI'm all for allowing people to decide their own gender but insisting a baby should be left gender neutral until it's ready to decide for itself is a ludicrous notion. A large part of your formative years is dependent upon you having an assigned gender, IMO, so leaving it unassigned until a child is ready to decide for themselves (if they ever are) is a recipe for disaster. I also can't help but think that leaving a child genderless would cause more psychological harm than assigning it the obvious gender and seeing how it goes from there.
-
34 OdpowiedziYour cissexism is gross and oppressive. Just because this baby was assigned male at birth does not mean that it will identify as a boy. Trans* people are real and their identities are legitimate. -blam!- off.
-
What they're saying doesn't make no sense. They're saying that by calling him a boy, they're forcing a gender role on him. That means that they themselves are the ones creating/enforcing a stereotype, by implying that Kate is implying him to be heterosexual by labeling him a boy. Is it not possible to have a boy who is also gay? If he is gay, does that make him a girl? Geeze, what do these words even mean anymore? Since when do boy and girl mean anything more than a casual or layman's way of saying male and female? This is why people close their minds to things like feminism, people just have to be so offended by everything; they just have to shove it in everyone's face and make a big deal of everything.
-
If it has penis it's a male right, what is the problem of naming a child either? Will it just remain nameless until it is old enough? Stupidity in painful

Holy shit that stuff is mind rotting to read.

My morals are better than your morals.
-
My head hurts.

2 OdpowiedziWhy does it matter to them? You never see shit like this when any other baby is born. Fuck the Royal family.
-
oh god OP I got a nose bleed from all the stupid in that picture. Y U DO DIS?
-
4 OdpowiedziI was expecting stupidity. That isn't stupidity, it's an agenda. For those of us not transgendered, gender seems perfectly black and white. To them, obviously, it isn't such an easy call. They have a different perspective on it. That isn't stupidity, it's just an opposing point of view. Stupidity would be the tweets commenting on how Kate is sooooo amazing for being able to produce a male heir her first try, as if there was some sort of effort or action on her part that could determine the sex the baby would be.

The stupidity of those people is insane. Op's right, it does actually cause me pain. Why are we testing products on animals when we have these people walking around the joint?
