I was listening to this on the radio earlier and right now Richard Codey and Ruben Ramos want to raise the smoking age to 21. They seem to think that it will help lower the amount of smokers in the state.
Right now if you're 19(which is the age) and they pass this law, The main way for you to get cigarettes is going to a store and buying them. But now you wouldn't be able to. You would probably look for other ways to get it(getting it from older friends or relatives.) I am a non-smoker and I believe it may help a little.. but not as much as the two Senators think it will. What are your opinions on this?
Please try to stay on topic. Thank you in advance.

1 OdpowiedźBad idea. Kids are going to smoke no matter what. Putting more restrictions on things they can easily get just raises the crime rate and wastes money enforcing it. But really, what even happens if you get caught smoking and you're under 18? Half the people in my hometown were openly smoking at the age of 16, and i've never heard of anyone being punished for it in anyway.

I'm down with this.

1 OdpowiedźThere's a smoking age? Anywho, I think smoking should just be banned outright. Shame it'll never happen though...

Due to the fact that they are knowingly and willingly causing themselves a myriad of health issues. Smokers are nothing but a burden on society. They generate trash and litter. Spread dangerous and toxic smoke in public areas. And suffer from a myriad of health problems.
