So from everything you have heard and read online, what is the one thing you are worried they will screw up, or add that you don't want, or afraid they aren't going to have in the game?
Is it the fact the game will connect to your phone some how? Not enough differentiation between race/class? The "always online" world? That it might be too much like Halo? Or something complete different? Thoughts?

biggest worry:server lag second: the game not coming out this year
-
I wonder how much time I have to invest to become "good" at the game. I have far less time to devote to games these days and I'd like to be "skilled' at Destiny with the right "in game assets" to enable me to play at a decent level or with friends who will play far more than I'm able to. I don't want to be disadvantaged by my lack of available gaming time.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Jeobi: 4/22/2013 9:34:11 PMthat there will not be enough options for character customization. people need to feel that they have created a truly individualized character, for it would be best if the customers choose to play as a single character for as long as possible; there needs to be serious customization while crafting and playing/upgrading

That it will be moreso MMO than it will be Dark souls style online.
-
Mmm... a couple of minor things. Firstly, lag. If this is an online world, then the netcode is going to have to be pretty good so everyone gets a decent connection when playing. Moving like you're on ice skates isn't that fun. Secondly, as Reztladius says, the Vex being able to travel through time. If there's one way to really mess up a narrative, time travel is it.

Lump me in with the others worried that it wont be on PC.

i would say that there are two things i am worried about, though the latter has not been totally verified by destiny- the combining of multi-player with campaign and vexes traveling through time. i am not really against these things, i just think it will be quite a challenge to do these and still have it not be choppy and be practical, respectively. if they can find a way to fit these things in in a logical way, then i'm all for them.

Server fiascoes. Think Diablo III and Sim City levels of bad. Now think of a game where that kind of online connectivity is part of the entire point of the game. My internet connection is sketchy as hell.
-
1. That is won't be on PC 2. The "always online" nature will just lead to a whole lot of inconveniences 3. That it will just play like a sci-fi Call of Duty

Too few classes, and everyone using identical gear in the endgame.

4 OdpowiedziMy biggest worry is that players won't be as customizable as we think they will be. That most people will end up wearing the same armour and we really won't be unique. This happened will Halo: Reach and Halo 4. Brink was suppose to be the most customizable character game ever, and that turned out to be a huge failure and bust. It wasn't really customizable at all. So I hope Bungie brings the customization above and beyond what they've done in Halo: Reach. So that the armour I'm wearing, the character I am is truly unique. I don't want to encounter players with the same helmet I have, or the same body armour.

Not enough depth

My biggest worry is that it will turn out to just be a Halo clone. That seems to be lessening more and more though.

I love FPS games and i enjoy fighting but i dont like being locked into one small area to fight. like in halo when you fought other people the maps where kinda small i would love a larger map. and then for not fighting just roaming i love free play like talking to people for missions and roaming the wilderness looking for random drops. If that could be incorporated i'd love this game forever because everything else looks amazing. I love the thought of my game being attached to my phone, as for classes/races i haven't seen much but from what i've seen i feel like the weapons they carry should differ like mages get hand guns and swords but use casting and magic hunters shouldn't be allowed larger weapons such as rocket launchers but allowed cloaking and then any weapons for titans but aside from dual wielding any weapons no extra powers. But all aside if i just had free roaming and random drops i would be happy

1 OdpowiedźThat the community's seemingly random preconceptions of the game will ruin it for them. Look at half of the #Destiny tags. Somehow a lot of people seem to have very specific ideas for how they think they game is going to turn out. Now I haven't been completely on top of all of the Destiny news, but I find it very strange that people already have such expectations despite how little we actually know about the game.

that its probably never going to be on the PC.

3 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika tsassi2: 4/21/2013 10:44:46 AMMy biggest worry is the world size and freedom. The game is supposed to be structured around PvE gameplay. Regardless of how well the AI is designed, I can't see myself spending as much time on an area fighting AI as I would spend on a multiplayer map fightning actual people. So, I can only see that the replay value comes from the fact that there are always new places to go, new encounters to survive, and new loot to find. I see huge potential for large worlds where I see a place in the distance, and can actually travel to that place with no loading screens or anything else interrupting the gameplay. But with multiple areas on different planets that have to be separate, I somehow doubt they can give me these large worlds where it takes an hour to walk from one end to the other. In previous Bungie games, if there has been a really high cliff, the area below is out of the playable area, in accessible. I've always liked exploration, and that's why I'd be happy to have that area actually be explorable. I want the world to actually feel open, and never have me face an invisible barrier or a kill boundary unless I intentionally want to find one. All the different pieces of concept art scream freedom to me. But I have doubts that the scale of freedom I want isn't actually achievable. The fact that Destiny is getting released on current generation consoles certainly doesn't help as both platforms will pose some technological obstacles, some as simple as disk space. I know Destiny won't be my dreams come true, but I really hope it doesn't fail to meet myn expectations. Edit: It's not just horizontal scale I'm worried about. After all, what's the point in running around a ruined Chicago if you can't walk into a skyscraper, fight my way to the roof, collect the loot, and enjoy the view?

My biggest fear is how well they are going to balance competitive multiplayer .
-
That the way Bungie intends to make its money, since so much of the world must be maintained constantly after release and pay per month has been denied, is with dlc. Now that doesn't bother me as extra content is good. What really worries me about this is how much of the game we'll be getting for our 60$. I'm really hoping that just Destiny by itself, without any added content, is enough to make days worth of my life disappear, but maybe im asking too much.
-
The maximum population/place. Is Destiny going to be rly "open" or more like groups of 6 people.

14 OdpowiedziThe ADS. I haven't heard anything on it since the Game Informer article, so I'm still holding on to the futile hope that there won't be any....

Whether or not it will be for PC, and if it will have enough graphics settings that I can lower in order to get it to play on my pitiful laptop.

Options when it comes to spacecraft and balancing out competitive.

I'm worried I'll be demolished by a group of super powered people the first time I come across other players. That is if we battle other human players. I haven't been keeping up with the game much. Other worry is how well my connection will hold.

Lag and connection issues would probably be number one for me.
