Disabling Crosssave
Hey there, This is a bit of a rant
So i try to disable my cross save so i can link to my new steam account. I waited the 90 days for it to officially disable for me to find out nothing is going to happen because of the new changes they made in march of 2025. I'm so annoyed because why is their a option to disable it if in all reality, you cant. And why would they remove the option to disable the cross save. Id like to play it on my main account instead of my secondary steam account. So i don't know maybe someone can help me out. I mean id be spending more money to get the dlc's on my main account

Hey there. Disabling cross-save is still something people might want to do, so the option to disable it is still offered. There is no 90 day wait for it to officially disable - there is a 90-day cooldown for someone who disables it before they can activate it again, and a 90-day period where it can't be deactivated after purchasing Silver - but when none of these are active, the deactivation is immediate. However yes, even if you did deactivate, you can't unlink accounts, due to the March 2025 policy change. Unfortunately Bungie will not adjust anyone's cross-save or link settings on their end under any circumstances, nor have they made any exceptions to the policies.
