A great quality-of-life improvement for Briarbinds’ enhanced Void Soul would be to make it easier to retrieve, instead of having to walk up and interact, which can be risky in high-end, ad-dense content. One option could be allowing it to interact with any gun that has shoot to loot as perk, letting players pick it up from a distance. Preferably though, is a line-of-sight retrieval method. Similar to how the game detects this during mechanics. Like how ritual symbols are revealed during the Simmumah encounter in Ghost of the Deep or the Witch Queen shape completion puzzles. For example, after looking at the Void Soul for a couple of seconds, the player could gain a buff called “It Stared Back / Look into the Abyss.” Once this buff reaches a certain number of stacks, the player can retrieve the Void Soul remotely.
