This is going to be a 💩show.
Now as many people, who consistently defend Bungie and D2’s current trajectory, will tell you these numbers aren’t accurate, because of x, y and z. They are the only numbers we have for comparison.
However they will be the most accurate they can be at 5:01pm UTC on Tuesday 15th July.

Paracausal Path Emblem for preordering TFS.

1690278
So Edge of Fate has less than a quarter of the preorders that TFS had, and TFS was considered a failure.
394629/ 1690278 = 0.233 x 100 = 23.3%.
Just so that’s -blam!--ing clear.
5 days out from the launch of their new 6 year saga, Bungie has managed to convince less than a quarter of those it convinced into preordering TFS, to preorder EoF.
I wonder why that is?🤔🙃
I have a list.
World Tiers
Soft sunsetting of my weapons
Seasonal sunsetting
Bonus damage/resistance on new gear
Exotics being left behind it the new tier system
Exotics being left behind in terms of whether they get the new seasonal bonus or not.
Increased grind for grind sakes, it’s been calculated at 90+ hours of targeted grind just to get Tier 5 gear to drop
The Portal being too convoluted and text heavy for the sake of apparent versatility. Just make preset difficulties that we can swap out some modifiers. Or better yet, get rid of haste, oscillation and the other modifier that creates exploding ammo and engram drops and just add more Banes/ Champs to preset difficulties.
The resetting to 10 Light Level, essentially locking us out from all the endgame content we have already purchased, forcing us to engage with this new system even if we don’t buy the “DLC”.
In my opinion this is the Diablo4-ification of the game. And I despise it.
Destiny is not a true MMO, so why is Tyson Green and the rest of the management so enamoured in turning it into one?

Does this also include the numbers of cancelled preorders as well... If not it's even lower!

That’s one of the reasons it is not completely accurate. Also I believe Emblem Report doesn’t count it as redeemed unless you actually claim it from Bungie rewards on bungie.net. So it is only a general figure. Although most people who preorder will claim it. So 🤷♂️. I guess that those that preorder, claim it and then cancel are probably making up for those that preorder but don’t claim the emblem? I don’t think that the numbers will be too significant to alter the general premise that EoF is going to tank the active population hard. 😞.

Edytowany przez użytkownika TripleF73: 7/10/2025 11:16:25 PMThey are brutal mate, and they need to be brutal. I’m not buying this 💩, on principle. I do not like most of the “free” changes coming to the game. EoF looks like repurposed Io, and the unlocking of abilities that can only be used there smacks of the tonic rubbish from Revenant and the confusing unlocks we got in Heresy combined. I’m doing the ONLY thing Bungie has ever -blam!--img listened to, withholding my money. Maybe we’ll get a “the new changes haven’t quite hit the mark with you, our community. We are now intensely focused on exceeding your expectations” Or “We hear you. The changes in the game were not where the community wanted them to be” Or the infamous “ We’re listening!” Or some other example of Bungo corporate speak. Quite frankly, given the awful buggy mess that was the implementation of the Seasons this year, I’ll be shocked that the game will even work on Tuesday at 5pm UTC. Bungie have never implemented this many changes to so many systems at once. It’s going to be hilarious. I predict a role back to the current iteration of D2 inside a week, due to bugs, glitches and unplayability At least the servers won’t be overcrowded 🤣.

I think the complaints regarding those changes will be even more vocal after the release. A lot.
