Seasonal Artifact and newer modifiers are actually the worst thing to happen to endgame content imo.
And by extension, Champions but that's a dead issue to your deaf ears at this point and we can't even get anti champ effects on older exotic weapons regularly.
Destiny started out with a huge emphasis on player expression and players coming up with loadouts to beat challenges themselves.
Now, you completely dictate each meta to players which has turned this game into a disgusting numbers and optimal play obsessed cess pool where no one wants to play with you if you don't use exactly what their streamers tell them and what's supported by the artifact.
How is this good for the game? This does not keep things fresh because everyone will be using the same thing. You leave no room for player creativity. If you have a favorite weapon type that isn't supported by the artifact, you are at a disadvantage for using it and unless you have friends, no one wants to play with you, even if you host.
So many weapons and only like 10% of it is supported each season. Why release a -blam!- sidearm this season that isn't supported by the artifact? It makes no sense.

1 OdpowiedźBungie always dictated the meta with their balance changes. The artifact mods are purely additive. You don't need them to complete anything. They just help. You don't even need them to deal with champions but of course they ease that portion too. As is usually the case, the player (you) feels it's absolutely necessary to ONLY use the meta, and that's not required at all. Just because something doesn't have an artifact mod buffing it, doesn't mean it can't be used. It's a (completely unecessary) constraint you're placing on yourself.

I disagree If left to there own choice, people will just use the same 3 guns And that was proven with Mountaintop and Recluse The seasonal artifact shakes things up, gets people out of there comfort zones This season is the first time I have had fun using Stasis, I never ran Stasis when it was busted in Beyond Light, so it's like a new subclass for me

8 OdpowiedziIt's a very boring artifact, so far. Unless you like Stasis 🫤 And even then, compared to what we usually get it's cheeks. I dunno what brainiac thought scouts would be good for AntiBarrier. They need a [b]SERIOUS[/b] buff. It's becoming very stale having to use certain things each season (episode, what ever the fork they wanna call it now) that are dictated by the artifact. It doesn't make the game more interesting, at least to me anyway. "Play your own way" never sounded like so much bullcrap. It's thier way or GTFO.
