Throwing Shield does joke damage in high end PvE and 71 in PvP, compared to its very-similar Strand Hunter melee, here's the difference between the 2:
• Threaded Spike does in general more damage across modes
• Threaded Spike has more projectile velocity, better tracking between targets better and ricochet properties
• Threaded Spike can be catched to refund melee energy
Now, Throwing Shield loses to Threaded Spike in all of those departments, it will RARELY hit 2 targets even if they're standing next to each other and will literally NEVER hit 3 in order to gain full overshield
My honest feedback to buff it and make it good and fun:
• Increase damage in PvE by 20%
• Increase damage in PvP to 91 up from 71
• Decrease the number of hits it needs to give full overshield to 2, down from 3 (thus hitting 1 target will now grant half of the entire overshield)
• Greatly increase ricochet properties in PvE and slightly in PvP
• Getting a kill with the shield should give you full overshield
Extra buffs to Offensive Bulwark while we're here lol:
• Kills whilst having an Overshield slightly regen melee energy
• When under the effects of a melee-generated overshield, or by Ward of Dawn, receive greatly increased weapon handling and reload speed (War Machine, but WILL not work by a Bastion overshield to balance it out in PvP)
Thanks and I hope Bungie devs see this as genuine feedback as someone who plays Sentinel like crazy in both aspects of the game; I'm only trying to make a subpar melee better for everyone, whilst avoiding it being oppressive in PvP

1 OdpowiedźI don’t think a kill with the shield should give you a complete overshield, but it should give some. Maybe if your shields are depleted it could give a full overshield.

1 OdpowiedźAll throwables projectiles need less tracking. The rest sounds fine. Have at it.

1 OdpowiedźI would say it’s closer to shuriken than threaded spike. Anyway, I think your ideas are good.
