I have been playing FF14 a lot and I saw something that was very curious. Many of the FF14 mechanics you dont need to speak with other players, you are marked in some way and you have to so something amd etc. I think Desriny should try some exotic mission, dungeons and even raids with this structure, yes its way easier but you can up the difficulty with more mechanics and harder hitting dmg etc. Exemple in Deep Stone Cript, first encouter, Scanner should go below and look for which buttom Operator should go shoot. If they could be a way for the scanner go down interect with said buttom to mark it for the operator, the operator goes down look the the market buttons shoot it, then pass the buff and aquire the scanner buff to mark which of the tubes to shoot.
You need to know what to do, but you dont need to communicate other then explaining what to do if needed.
Just food for thought, to do something different that can make more casuals play these content. This way you can make these content mechanically divren but also accessible.

2 OdpowiedziEvery exotic mission minus 1 and absolutely every dungeon can be done without talking or communication

1 OdpowiedźIt's speaking, it's like the bare minimum of human interaction. You can't design games around people who aren't willing to do the bare minimum.

1 OdpowiedźProblem is bungie and the sweats don't want above average players to do this content in the game they are happier loosing 99% of the playerbase to keep 1% happy But good thoughtful idea that players can only prey bungie will implement same for optional tutorials in the game for content instead of being expected to watch a tutorial outside of the game

This is why I love traditional MMOs. They tell without needing someone else to tell you. Show you without needing someone else showing you. Bungie can't seem to find ways to do this kind of thing without the need for comms telling you or someone else outside the game showing you and the game as a whole suffers as a result. The biggest difference is that Bungie has combat down and traditional MMOs combat systems can get boring fast.

2 OdpowiedziA glaring problem with this idea as it applies to "casual players" is what you said about "up the difficulty with more mechanics and harder hitting damage etc." They won't want that any more than they do something as simple as speaking to another person.
