Name change feedback
I am disappointed there has been no further comment by Bungie on this matter in over a month when I have seen posts on Twitter, Reddit, and here of numerous players still being unable to change their name back. Since the forums seem to be step 1 of getting support, I want to know if my name is unable to be changed back to what it was due to your new language filtering settings or if it's some incorrect ban/flag in place from before. I don't want to pick a brand new name if it's a mistake.
Name I want to have: farm3rb0b.
If that's getting filtered out because b0b might be the real name Bob, I have some feedback. If a proposed name from another platform would go against the language filter, it should not show as an option (all of my gamer tags have been farm3rb0b, I get 4 suggestions to use it). I'm not sure what prompted the change to the filter to cause this name issue, but it feels a bit overboard. You're not going to determine who I am off of that name. plus we're playing a game where we're people. Seems like an odd choice to not allow anyone to have a name that's people-like.

Suggested names are just your platform names and are not subjected to the filter process until they are selected. The filter system is constantly being updated with names and phrases to be moderated for along with reported names by players. Bungie issued name change tokens to all accounts to allow new names to be chosen, the condition being the new names must align with the Bungie Name guidelines and code of conduct.

So now my Clan name "Calus's Berries", that we've had since year one, is also now flagged. In a game where headshots are rewarded I'm failing to see how a relatively innocent innuendo is considered offensive.

Hey, I've been having the same problem. My name... MikeSnow was changed to Guardian seemingly because the name Mike is too identifying. I get that's the new rules but I can't seem to change my name to anything, no matter what I try the site says "Your Settings have saved" but nothing changes. My name stays as Guardian and I am given no feed back as to what I can and can't use as a new name. What can I do to ensure I can get my name into something more unique than Guardian? And I find it hard to believe ALL names that use "real" names have been changed to Guardian as I've seen SO many name-names as I'll call them for the past 2 months since I've been reverted to Guardian.
